Annoying narrator

The narrator was so monotonous I could barely stand to listen to her drone. The story was boring and hard to stay interested in.

Horrible narrator and main character

The narrator was almost tolerable to listen to. She sounded very whiny, melodramatic, and Painfully slow. It made Lee??? main character sound even more weeks then she really was. I had to speed up the call audio just to tolerate it. I definitely would not have finished this book if I didn’t pay for it. Super disappointed.

Awful Narration

The narrator was awful. Made the character seem like a wimp. Thank goodness the story was good otherwise I would have returned it.

Not up to Wolfe’s standards

I read Wolfe’s Kat Sharp series. The protagonist was a very strong woman. That was not true in this book.
The main character was a weak, tearful woman who stilled lived in her childhood home with her mother and husband! The narrator’s voice enhanced the childlike actions and emotions of a child. This narrator should only read kid lit or YA.

Not my favorite

It was written okay and the person reading it did great but it was lacking something. Maybe more suspense or something… it was just very slow and honestly almost boring to listen to.

The Drs voice was horrible

The story was good, but the reading of the Drs part was awful. She sounded like a whiny little girl. I almost stopped listening because of it. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read it myself.

The story was okay but skip the narration and read the book

The story was slow and only made worse by the slow narration. I typically listen to my audiobooks on 1.1x but this one was 1.6x because she was so slow. If you want to hear this story, do yourself a favor and read the book vs listen to it

Narrator was horrible

First time listening to a fictional audio book. Maybe if you read the book it would be better. It was difficult to hear the narrator. Her character voice changes was silly. The Ann character was made up to be a foolish person even though she is a accomplished surgeon. The story is ok. I only finished because I had already bought it. I would never listen to anything with this narrator.

Narrator annoying

Story was good along with the writing but narrator voice inflection for the main character was annoying. The main fm character is a cardiac surgeon but the whiny voice inflection for her part from narrator didn’t fit. It made her seem like a helpless teenager. If I had to do it all over again I would read book and not listen to audible version.

Horrible reader

The story takes a few great twists, but the reader spoils it. Title character is a cardiovascular surgeon, but sounds like a horribly weak, whiny character. Will avoid this reader in future selections!
