yw not my favorite book

I feel like the narrator tried to hard to change voices, that sometimes it didn't read smoothly. it wasn't horrible, but not much suspense, not much a mystery book. But I did finish book.

Drawn out

It was good but it was drawn out. Naration was really bad. To dramatic.

Story full of unlikable characters

This story is full of unlikable, uninteresting characters. I couldn't believe how idiotic they were. The author seems to believe that someone who is manipulative and commits a crime deserves to be punished while a moron who commits a crime should go free. Narration was good.

Good, not great

I liked it. I wasn't sure in the beginning, but I got much more invested as I got further along. Worth listening to. Some seem to love narration by Imogen Church, but I don't. She is fine for some books I guess, but when she is reading a young person's part, it just kind of ruins it. She just doesn't sound like a 25 to 35 year old. She sounds at least 50.

A little too much from narrator

Great story, kept me hooked even though from beginning narrator’s over acting voice annoyed me. It was a little too much from her but got used to it as I got into story

I don’t get it??

I absolutely LOVE Gemma Rogers! Her creative , on the edge of the seat listening!
I think I have heard all of her audible books.
The reason I marked her only as 3 is because the narrators were absolutely annoying and whiny 🤦🏼‍♀️.
Several times I just had to shut it down because of fake accents, and have you listened to this??
The phony baby cries? Was that just to hate the guy even more ??
Otherwise keep up the great work and be judgmental on the narrators!
Think of poor ole Grandmas that can listen for hours !

…Just wow! How delusional can One be? This is a great listen/book. You decide who is right or wrong.

this was a good liisten..i know it was a drama but i laughed at the character Jimmy..i was caught laughing when it was supposed to be serious.

Good story labored performance

It was an interesting story but I found the narration very labored and pretentious. I was hoping I’d get used to her narration but clearly didn’t. Sorry

Distracting narrator

This is a really interesting story and well written. Unfortunately, the cadence and inflection of her reading is very difficult to listen to. If I wasn’t vested in the end, I honestly couldn’t have made it through.
