The Shadow Side of the Mother's Love: The Hidden Truths of How We Learn Love in the Womb is about how the subconscious tricks us into thinking the womb is symbiotic, when truly it is parasitic. During pregnancy, our psyche was led to believe the womb was a space where our needs were met at all costs, and after birth, we attempt to return to the womb, subconsciously, anytime conflict arises. Every time we experience conflict, rejection, pain or trauma it triggers a negative emotional response, learned in the womb and linked to our dysfunctional version of love, a shadow love language. Trauma began at conception and was solidified in the womb by a negative emotional state our mother felt. We attached the seemingly intact womb experience and the needs of safety, security, validation and love to this negative emotional state experienced in vitro. The subconscious has packaged this unhealthy emotion during pregnancy as unconditional love and the belief that feeling it links us to the universal consciousness. Each individual has inherited a trauma code, linked to an emotional response and a story linked to rejection, neglect, abandonment and trauma that links back to this trauma code during pregnancy. The trauma code and emotion is the link to generational and ancestral trauma as an attempt to remain loyal to the tribe and meet our love and belonging needs, albeit dysfunctional.

Frances is an archetypal astrologer, shaman, akashic records' reader, and spiritual counselor based in South Florida. She earned her Ph.D. in Mental Health Counseling and Educational Leadership from Barry University and has studied and taught metaphysics for over two decades. Beautifully book!

Dr. Yahia has created a guide to understanding the Moon Matrix, which appears as a critical understanding for the energetic connection between the mother and child. Yahia explicitly explains the lunar energy and projections that we souls experience while in form (i.e: past memories, emotions, crutches such as food, addictions, safety, etc). Lauren Garvin was an excellent voice for this book.

At the beginning of the book, Yahia explains some myths that can be used as metaphors for the symbolism in comparison to individual experience. She then goes into detail on how we need to grow in consciousness and not stay attached to the moon, which is the symbolic mother. Yahia explains the eight moon phases, which we all are born under one particular phase. The 8 phase model determines where about the incarnated soul is along with group of souls and personality characteristics that might be experienced. Yahia explains the 8 moon phases that provide the planet, archetype, judgement, and themes.

Throughout all of Yahia's books and lectures, she shines light on an important label which she calls the "48-to-52". I've came to believe after I studied my chart (and others) that the middle way is majority of the time a nice balance, an equanimity of my energetic oppositions (they are me!...so I need to make them work together instead of rip me apart).

Yahia goes into depth about emotional attachments that keep us in child mode. It's important to identify the "good buckets" and "bad buckets" of our parents so that we can 48-to-52 those qualities which are a part of the individual.

My favorite section of this book begins when Yahia goes into detail for each 12 zodiac signs. She list the qualities, protective filter, people the (zodiac) moon attracts, mother characteristics, individual characteristics, lunar response, psychological response, lessons to learn, and finally the talents. This snapshot of all 12 zodiac moon signs is sooooooo helpful! It's nice to glance at this chart because we who judge others can have a master legend of why they may be presenting certain behavior that does not align with ourselves. Yahia also explains the 12 houses which the moon may project onto the personality. She also explains the dysfunctional love matrix with appropriate lessons to be learned in order to escape the matrix.

Overall, this audiobook explains in a simplistic way how delusional we can become if we ignore our Moon. I choose to learn my Moon's projections so that I can become more graceful on day to day living. Thank you Dr. Yahia for your most excellent service to humanity. Thank you Lauren for your service on being a part of the creation of this audiobook.
