Just the best crime series ever!

I love each and every Dept. Q book!
This latest was no exception. Each character is do well developed it’s like being with friends. I can honestly say The plots never get old or redundant. I finished this book in 3 days. Graeme Malcolm’s narration is always perfect for theses stories! Can’t wait for the next book.

Depart Q full strength

All the favorite characters are highlighted in depth and more of their character revealed. The setting is more pronounced in this installment. You get more of a feel for Danish society. The virus of 2020 and the shutdown are woven matter of a fact in it the plot without any opinions or politics. The cliffhanger is one of the best in a series. I plan to get the next book as soon as it is available.

The Department Q evolution of characters

Loved the story. I enjoy this author and for me this installment in the series was one of the best. Some strange audio you could tell were inserted in the narration that stuck out. Did not impact the story, just the quality of audio

Captivating!!

Love the Partman Q stories. This was very well written, and kept me engaged and intrigued all the way through. Can’t wait for the next department Q book.

Oh no! I have to wait for the next book!

Department Q. Just gets better. Adler-Olsen allows his characters to struggle and to develop in ways that increase the reader’s commitment to their success.

Department Q isn’t always successful. Things go wrong. Sometimes painfully. However, under Adler-Olsen’s skilled hand you always know exactly what is happening, the weather, environment and atmosphere are conveyed so skillfully that you aren’t reading so much as living their experiences.

Good but not as good as previous ones

Interesting and overall it was good but thoroughly missed the cheeky Assad and Karl moments. The last chapters were good with the 3 working together but too much jumping around and not enough Moana. Truly hope the last novel will be an incredible case and not all about Karl. Rather go out with him being a detective not his trial or something. I trust the author will do it Justice. Graham Malcolm brilliant as always.

Could have used another chapter

So unfair to leave a cliffhanger like that.. Oh, well.

At one point I had thought the plat was going too far, but then I remembered the ridiculous image of rioters crawling up the walls of the capitol, and remembered that some European countries have run further off the rails than ours, so just took it for what it was worth. Had to sleep some last night, but each time I woke I queued up another chapter. If I start early enough some day I can listen again without sleep interruptions.

Anyway, I don't think I've praised Graeme Malcolm enough in the past. IMHO, he really is the voice of Department Q. I have a bunch of other audiobooks that could have benefited from his genius.

So when is the next book due? I read that this one is the penultimate, so assume another is already in the works, though I'll hate to see this series end.

Best team effort ever

Loved it. Really good narrator. The entire Department Q team were great. But the ending --- noooooo! Waiting eagerly for the next one!!

Department Q does it again!

I love these books! Department Q, and all its quirky inhabitants are amazing! I will be sad on a series is over! Please, please don’t end it! I highly recommend this to anybody who enjoys a rollicking, rolling, fantastic thriller!

Great Story

Mr. Adler-Olsen has written another masterful story. Each new edition of the Department Q series has been better than the last. Just finished this most recent edition and cannot wait for the next.
