Resumen del Editor

The epic finale to the Bone Witch series! As Tea's dark magic eats away at her, she must save the one she loves most, even while her life - and the kingdoms - are on the brink of destruction.

In the eight kingdoms, none have greater strength or influence than the asha, who hold elemental magic. But only a bone witch has the power to raise the dead. Tea has used this dark magic to breathe life into those she has loved and lost...and those who would join her army against the deceitful royals. But Tea's quest to conjure a shadowglass, to achieve immortality for the one person she loves most in the world, threatens to consume her.

Tea's heartsglass only grows darker with each new betrayal. Her work with the monstrous azi, her thirst for retribution, her desire to unmask the Faceless-they all feed the darkrot that is gradually consuming her heartsglass. She is haunted by blackouts and strange visions, and when she wakes with blood on her hands, Tea must answer to a power greater than the elder asha or even her conscience. Tea's life-and the fate of the kingdoms-hangs in the balance.

Saddened by the narration

These are GREAT books and I have thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. The writing is simply delightful! I highly recommended them to anyone who likes a good magical tale full of intrigue and mystery... However, the narration in book three...makes me just want to sigh... Why after 3 books has the narrator forgotten how to pronounce one of the main character's names?? This is not the first series of books that I've heard this happen in either.. I find it rather absurd, honestly. I understand the narrators have many books to perform & maybe they've just forgotten a name or two. Whatever the reason, it's very off putting to me. Rather than just enjoying the book I'm left trying to remind myself that the name doesn't belong to a new character but one we've already known. Not to mention it just makes me mad, which is never a good state of mind to be in when trying to listen to a book. Can narrators not go back and relisten to their prior work before carrying on to the next book? I could maybe even understand this happening had the narrator changed, but it's the same person for all 3 books 😑This may seem silly to most but I find it ridiculous. Please, for the love of all of the listeners out there, pronounce the names the same in every book! Otherwise, you simply ruin the illusion. The End

Only one issue

Was hard to get used to the mispronunciation for one of the main characters name.

An Original

Both story and narration were excellent. I know I will listen to it again. Tia an Callan's story was blistering.

amazing narrators!

I almost never leave reviews but for this one I have too. 1st, the narrators in this book are awesome. So much emotion and skill in their voices. They really brought the story to life and added to it

The story is amazing I was hooked by the end of the 2nd chapter in the 1st book. 2 chapters into the 1st book I order the whole series. The world building is fantasy! I love the magic that was created. Your heart will bleed for these characters. So many twists and turns. Such unique magic is used that I would never have thought of.

I highly recommend this series and I will be looking for more work by this writer and these narrators especially Emily.

Wonderful Epic

I adore Emily Woo Zeller’s narrations. Book 1 was a bit hard going because of a harsh voiced character, but it was easily remedied by just lowering the volume. That character had less to say in Book 2 and I barely noticed her tiny appearance in Book 3.
Will Damron was excellent with all of his vocal skills.

I will say this book weaves a tale from a third person POV and then shifts “into the moment”, with the characters in “real time” and the narrator fades into the background.
I don’t mind books with this format. This one was a little more difficult as an audiobook. Several of the male characters had very similar names and it took well into the second book, and pairing them up with partners before I could keep them straight. I likely would have had no issue whatsoever following all the changes and interweaving of the stories if I had read the print copy.

These stories are beautiful. The three books in this series weave together with complex characters and descriptions. I love that these three books were able to tenderly unfold relationships between unlikely characters. The story was lovingly crafted to include a side character struggling with their sexuality in an open and supportive manner.

There was magic, love, heartache, monsters and battles between good and evil, there were a few surprises along the way too; characters who turned out to be evil that you never saw coming.

Honestly, I just finished listening to the entire set of three audiobooks and I can’t recall any foul language at all, and there’s no intense or descriptive sex. This book would be fine for a younger audience.

Compelling series!

With a favorite narrator: Emily Woo Zeller!

Had to knock a star off story as the PoV shifts became confusing, as some was reflecting back, while other times a different perspective at a different time. It wasn't clear enough for this listener.

Enjoyable interesting story

It’s a little too heavy on the YA but overall the story is imaginative and engaging. Even though it’s the same narrators as the first two books, they suddenly change the pronunciation of one of the main characters names for this final book in the series. I found that distracting and annoying. Especially bc it then sounded more like a different character’s name and made it a little confusing at first.
