Acerca de esta escucha
The Seasons of My Life is the story of one woman’s memories of everyday life, from her upbringing on a farm in Wisconsin through her 40-plus years of missionary ministry with her husband on three continents. It also goes into her new phase of service without her life partner.
It is a sequel to George H. Meyers's His Remarkable Life Story, published in 2016, describing his humble beginnings, multifaceted career, international travels, and life pursuits. The narrative of Janet’s autobiography continues the recounting of their international missionary adventures together, with emphasis on her perspective and the marriage and family values they champion.
Their three children gave significant input with their recollection of happenings in which they were part of the story. Reviewing her journals and researching past communications has required the emotional impact of reliving the 57 years of their marriage and eight decades of her life.

Historia
The Three Graces of Val-Kill changes the way we think about Eleanor Roosevelt. Emily Wilson examines what she calls the most formative period in Roosevelt's life, from 1922 to 1936, when she cultivated an intimate friendship with Marion Dickerman and Nancy Cook, who helped her build a cottage on the Val-Kill Creek in Hyde Park on the Roosevelt family land. In the early years, the three women - the "three graces", as Franklin Delano Roosevelt called them - were nearly inseparable.

This is Mitka’s account of facing the past, confronting his captors, connecting with lost relatives, and finding peace in the rediscovery of his origins. For Mitka, this also meant reclaiming his Jewish heritage - a journey that gave him a new sense of purpose and freedom from the lingering effects of trauma that had filled his life to that point. By the end, Mitka’s Secret is less a story of survival and more one of redemption and transformation - from hidden suffering to abundant joy.

Giselle Burgess was a young mother of five trying to provide for her family. Though she had a full-time job, the demands of ever-increasing rent and mounting bills forced her to fall behind, and eviction soon followed. Giselle and her kids were thrown into New York City's overburdened shelter system, which housed nearly 60,000 people each day. They soon found themselves living at a Sleep Inn in Queens, provided by the city as temporary shelter; for nearly a year, all six lived in a single room with two beds and one bathroom.

Especially in a place like Rwanda, where the scars of genocide linger and poverty is rampant? While Josh worked hard bringing food and health care to the country's rural villages, Alissa was determined to put their foodie expertise to work. The couple opened Heaven, a gourmet restaurant overlooking Kigali, which became an instant success.
