Awesome, another great by Stephen King

This is one of those fast paced, can't stop listening thriller. I am rather new to audible due to physical limitations of "holding a book". The narrative is awesome and another great story by the great author! I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful the experience was having it read out loud. If you get this book, put on your headphones and get ready for a ride!

Kevin Kenerly is amazing.

Kevin Kenerly is my favorite narrator and plays off the counter hero so well. I found him in heroes die and am always excited to see a book with his name on it. Stephen King classic delivers as always. Distopian future and foreshadow of human nature.

I wish I knew about this sooner.

This book is still relevant today in 2021. It was way ahead of its time and in some ways prophetic. Richard Backman / King have a great writing style in this, I love how it counts down to the final act. The narration is excellent and Kevin's voice is one of the best in my opinion. The book is lightyears ahead of the movie and should be referenced as the best source material whenever someone brings up the movie. I would SKIP THE FIRST CHAPTER, not sure why they would give away the ending in chapter one with the preface by King but it should be at the end of the book not the beginning... just my thoughts.

Slow but good

I don't know why this took me as long as it did to finish but it never "grabbed" my attention and therefore I picked at it. Narrator was great

Kevin Kenerly is an amazing reader. Such a good performance! Very entertaining and the story is epic. Not LIKE THE MOVIE AT ALL

Excellent, quick listen

I am a huge Steven King Fan, to the point I read very little else. I am Also a huge Arnold Schwarzenegger, you see the conundrum this puts me in.
The heart of the book is in the movie but nothing much else. I found myself wishing that the book had elements from the movie and vise versa.
I think it picked up pace very nicely, I couldn’t stop listening the last two hours. And honestly after just finishing “the Stand” which had such a fall flat ending, this ending kicks ass! Like a lot of ass, Ben Richards is one of my favorite Steven King hero’s.

Loved it!

I have never read the Running Man before. My exposure was only the film that came out with Richard Dawson. The book is so much better than the movie. I don’t know who decided to completely change the story for the film, but they should’ve stuck with the original. I would love to see a modern day version of this on the big screen. The narration was wonderful as well. He kept me completely engaged the entire time. Very well done, thank you!
