The Station Core known as Milton has barely survived the first concentrated attack by hostile Proctans, leaving his "dungeon" destroyed and most of his defenders dead. Not the most auspicious start.

But now, with the addition of Brint and his inventor friend, Whisp, Milton now has the tools available to turn his dungeon into one that should easily defend against all comers - or at least he hopes so.

However, when the Cordpower Company - the makers of the original Power Potion - contract the best of the best to find out what happened to their agents, Milton’s dungeon is put to the test against two Proctans who are way out of his league.

Meanwhile, Brint learns more about his ability to control the Combat Units that Milton creates, eventually being put into a position to lead an expedition into the Quizard Mountains. He hopes to find enough resources inside the caves to fully outfit the dungeon, making it even deadlier than it already is.

Unfortunately, he finds something else....

I won't what the next book will be like love the building and skills. will get next book as soon as it comes out .

"Holy Dungeon, Quizards!"

Not sure I can say enough about this book and the series so far.
Brooks makes me want to live in this world, with powers of course.
And Meili makes me want to be friends with the characters.
After the cliffhanger ending of the first book we come right back to our MC, Melvin, and his group. As their levels are continuing to grow there is just non-stop enemy after enemy coming into the dungeon.
If you thought the cliffhanger was big at the end of book 1, it is just a stair step compared to this book.
This story/series is just one of the many reasons I love LitRPG.
If you like fantasy, dungeons and especially LitRPG you are going to love this book.

Excellent story, the audible voices were fantastic. I enjoyed this story very much. I would recommend this story.

as always on great instalment

that's always this is a great instalment in a great series the only problem is I would have liked to have known what he's going to do with the bodies?

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this review voluntarily.

Milton has a horrible naming sense. Like, really, really horrible. But other than that the events of Quizard mountains are a good logical flow from the first book. It left me with some questions about what happened to the other people abducted to be put into the cores though. I hope it's answered in later books.

an excellent addition to the series

Another fantastic dungeon core litrpg. The author does a fantastic job at portraying the gradual dungeon progression, while also including enuf personal character elements to avoid the story getting bogged down. The dungeon isn't ridiculously overpowered, though it has its own unique situational advantages. Then he adds in issues of social and corporate corruption, along with looming natural threats on the horizon, and makes an excellent story that will hook you in and keep you coming back for more.

The narrator also did an excellent job, but I had to subtract 1 star due to an issue I couldn't help noticing. There r alot of odd pauses at chapter ends. When u listen, I think u will understand. The main character usually says one line about his conclusions on something, then there is an odd long pause b4 the chapter end. It could simply b an editing issue, but the narrator's comment is also spoken in such a way as to make u think it's just the start of more, and intends to continue right away. It doesn't SOUND like a chapter closing statement.
It comes down to bad transitioning. Its possible that this is a problem in the print version, and the recording just makes it more obvious, but it does not seem that way. Haven't read the kindle version, so i can't say for certain. But, from my observations of the audio, there needs to b a little work on making the transition shifts b/t chapters more clean and identifiable. And not by making super long pauses b/t chapters (of which there were a number here. A little work needs done on both editor and narrators side, I believe, rather than simply or the other.

The above issue is, however, a fairly minor one, and does little to detract from The overall enjoyment of this excellent audio book.
For fans of litrpg, particularly dungeon cores, this book will make an excellent addition to your library. Worth the price, credit or otherwise.

For the sake of honesty, I will confess that I got this book through a promotional code, so did not pay for it myself. But I believe I have given a fair and honest review, and provided the sorts of details which would help other listeners like myself determine whether this is the sort of audio book they might b interested in. If you enjoyed the first book in this series, then u will not b disappointed in purchasing this second book.

Dumb stat chapers are horrible

So instead of having all the stats either at the end of a chapter or at the start, the author thought it was a good idea to stick them in the middle, sometimes with only 20 seconds between them. There is a chapter with 4 stat breaks almost in a row. Some of the most annoying things that you could do. Plus the author has gone and made stats pointless anyways so I don't know why they are there in the first place. and finally the story doesn't start until like chapter 15... super slow. I don't know if I can stand reading the next book because of all the annoying things.

it just gets better

as a binge listener hard for me to review each book in a series but i can say if you liked the first book the second one just gets better as Milton works with more of the proctins sorry for spelling . an making them stronger for his battle to come. an each book from here on only gets better with more battles training an city building.

2bd installment of a phenomenal dungeon series

Brooks 2nd installment in the dungeon core series is awesome. Our core is coming along and developing new techniques and partners. Ready now to go explore the quizzed mountains our core will face new adversaries on multiple fronts and the old adage of the enemy of my enemy is my friend has never been more appropriate. If you like LITRPG, dungeons, crunchy stats, this is the story for you. 5 in the series and they are all great! Enjoying This Series

I requested this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

The world and story are well thought out. The dungeon building and crawling are good. I liked the humor and budding romance as well.

In this book, the Milton and his friends work to improve the dungeon by adding new creatures and traps and Brint explores the Quizzard Mountains with dungeon defenders. However, it seems they bite off more than they can chew as they face powerful monsters and powerful delvers.

It was an enjoyable read, and I look forward to continuing the story in the sequels. If you liked the first book, you will like this one too.
