Bad Southern Accent

I loved the first book and the narrator. But on this book his female southern accent really spoiled it for me. I jumped ahead because of this. As always Nora writes a warm, beautiful love story but this was not one of her best.

Solidly Nora Roberts quality. A reread that I enjoyed every minute of. I will finis the series...again.

Always a good story

She's not perfect, but Nora's really great at weaving a good romance. Doesn't matter if it's fantasy, mystery, action or a combination. She always satisfies.

I'm not sure. The characters grated on my nerves a bit. Good God Almighty those two are full of pride.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Pride of Jared MacKade?

I loved when Jared and Brian had their talk in the woods. It made me a bit teary eyed.

Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He has to be my favorite narrator ever. This one is ok, but I seriously loved his performance of the first book in this series.

Laugh...I love the cat and mouse game between Savannah & Jared as well as the development of the boys

Very good follow-up to Rafe's story. This story can stand on its own however, is greatly enhanced when read in series order. There is so much I like about this story. Little lessons learned and the strength of the female character.

GET IMMERSED IN THE LIVES OF THESE LOVEABLE BROS

Divorcee and Lawyer Jared is the next sexy, handsome Alpha MacKade brother to meet his match when he tries to help Savannah a feisty, independent, protective single Mom with a secretive touching past that he's desperate to uncover. But she just wants to finally put down roots and provide a stable home for her son and forget about her heartbreaking past. However, instant attraction and sizzling chemistry draws them together but her unwillingness to talk about her past forces Jared to think the worst, be jealous and his constant interrogation and cross examination of her angers Savannah who inwardly already feels not good enough for Jared.

Another richly described listen that's full of loveable characters, humor, witty banter, angst, some touching heartfelt scenes with her son and a sizzling attraction that leads to romance, mild sex scenes and a rocky road (with a hilarious break-up) before they get their much wanted HEA ending. The well-written descriptions of the characters and personalities of close families and friendships enrich this listen and makes every character come to life. We catch up with all the news from Rafe and Regan's life and other characters, events and sub plots from book 1 continue too.

Worth a credit? This enjoyable, light love story is priced just right at under $5 for a 6 hour listen so you don't have to use a credit.... what a bargain.
