SYNOPSIS of each book covered by this Companion? A remarkable read. I read each book, stopped, heard the synopsis, and then went on to the next.

Insight into DG Herself

Don't listen to "butt cooties" while drive or operating machinery! Excellent listening experience; Ms.Porter reads excerpts and synopses of the books, DG reads her personal thoughts and processes, the astrological readings are an amazing bonus both in content and context.

Diana's comments are very interesting

On my subsequent listening, I am labeling chapters or sections with bookmarks and so noting the times and number of times I have appreciated this series. I am am almost ready for Season 5.

Great overview of first 4 books & more

Loved learning how the author writes and her experiences with being in an episode of the Outlander series. Recommend this to anyone.

Some interesting stuff

D. Porter's narration is excellent as always. Unfortunately D. Gabalon a is not. There are awkward starts stops & pauses. It's not professionally done. However she does share some interesting insight about the story, characters & how she writes.

Awesome companion to the books.

I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who has read the books, seen the series or both. I thoroughly enjoyed it all.

I never realized how much there is to fiction writing. It's amazing how writers create a whole world all on their own.

Would you listen to The Outlandish Companion (Revised and Updated) again? Why?

Most likely NO, since I have listened to all of the full length books about 7 times.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The story revolves around Jamie and Claire but I really like Jamie's sister Jenny.

Have you listened to any of Davina Porter and Diana Gabaldon ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Oh yes.......exquisite as always. Love Diana's story but love the way Davina captures and protrays each charactor.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed, I cried, I set on the edge of my seat.

For someone who hasnt listed to all of the books and doesnt really want to but wants to catch up on the story.....this would be the book.

Diana is awesome!

I loved hearing Diana's story's , letter comments and how she reacts to others criticism/views. her 'footnote s ' are the best!!!
