beloved story - beautifully done!

ive loved this book for years and can’t count the number of times i’ve listened to davina porter’s narration. this is just as wonderfully told and so fun, almost like hearing it for the first time again. very well done!

My favorite book in this entire series. Love this story & so many of the characters. Excellent! Story = 10 stars!!! So much better than the TV series.

This audible version with narrator Kristin Atherton was extremely irritating. The volume of the narration was frequently quite inconsistent. The. Entire. Book.
Had to continually adjust volume up & down. Rewind & turn up volume to hear something suddenly whispered. Then it’s soon blaring at me. Finally had to just leave the volume very high in order to hear everything. Definitely don’t listen when you go to bed.
Even having read this book more than once, it was difficult to distinguish who’s speaking at times.

Addictive, enchanting, mezmerizing

I’m a long time fan, having watched the series. This narrator is wildly accomplished in her ability to embody the characters. Highly recommended.

One of the greatest love stories of all time

We talk about love stories like Romeo and Juliet, but what about a love like Jamie and Claire? Diana does an extraordinary job at bringing their love story to life— to describe each of Claire’s thoughts and each encounter between the couple in such a realistic way… there is no doubt that Jamie was Claire’s heart and soul, and she was his.

Spectacular retelling!

Kristen's narration is amazing. I love Davina Porter, but Ms. Atherton's performance is outstanding.

My second listen-through!

I loved the first narrator when I was introduced to the series, but when I found out that Atherton was re-reading them, I immediately purchased the books (as they come out of course)!
Outlander is by far my favorite all time historical fiction series and Atherton just brings the books to life even more!

Miss hearing Davina -

I feel like Kristin's narration changes Claire's personality. she seems cold, rude, annoyed. She does a good Brianna. Jamie and Roger sound almost the same, but Jamie always sounds like hes whispering. I keep listening to the re-narrated, so 10 is not strange, but I'm really not enjoying her Claire.

Love this new version!

I tried several times to listen to the original audio books of this series. Nothing against the ordinal narrator but I could never listen to the ladies voice. This narrator does a wonderful job!

Highland adventure continues

Wow! Such a great continuation to the story. Really enjoyed their time in France and the ending made me tear up. I can’t say enough about Kristen Atherton’s narration adding to quality of the characters and story line.
I accidentally started this 2nd book narrated by some other “elderly” sounding English grandmother? I just couldn’t seem to follow the story or keep track of the characters.
I was so happy to find the version with Kristen. Everything just fell into place once I started over
