Poor narration

The narration is super choppy and robotic, which frequently detracts from the content of the book.

The definitive guide to safety and self-defense for females !

Can't recommend this book enough. It is compelling from page one, well written and very engaging. The perfect gift for the women in your life that you love and care about. As the mother of a daughter who is about to leave for college we are grateful for this comprehensive knowledge.

caveat - Having situational awaress. It's something that needs to be practiced every single day.

good material

As a self protection instructor myself I find much of this book to be useful and full of good ideas.

As an audible book its not my favorite. The reader speaks in a staccato like fashion and it's clear that it was not recorded continuously.

fantastic book, awful narrator

I don't normally ever write negative comments on audible, but it was such a shame that such a fantastic book had this jarred narration. strange pauses, lots of mispronounced words, and staccato sentences. Very hard to listen to.

Great information

As soon as I started listening I recommended it to others. This information could save you. Plan ahead.

Important information, painfully bad narrator

Great and informative book, but the narrator was BAD. Couldn't pronounce several words, awkward pauses galore... And I mean.. A ton of them. Just hard to listen to.

PDF problem solved

When I first got the book the PDF was missing, rendering the self defence explanations a bit useless. But the Audible customer service fixed the problem. I find this book is REALLY useful and a must read for any woman. A few people complained about the audio. It’s a tiny bit choppy but in no way does it make it hard to listen to. The audio is clear and the content is great.

Helpful, but...

Helpful, but wish they would focus a bit more broadly on all women. Advice seemed to focus on middle class, suburban women and it also didn’t sit well with me when they described perpetrators of a certain type of attack as usually being “urban” but didn’t go into demographics for any other type of attack. Overall, it was very helpful though.
