A tangible example of abiding in Christ

This book was really helpful for me as I am so prone to "performing" for God and trying to prove myself to Him. Christy provides countless examples of what it looks like to abide in Christ, which is a topic that has always been mysterious and abstract to me. I really like her writing style, too. You can tell she carefully selected every word to communicate her message and there are so many good lines that I want to remember and quote.

The book helped me rest in who I am in Christ. It was peace to me, like a lullaby in book form. I actually started listening to it a second time to digest all of the deep themes and lessons!

Restarted it as soon as I finished it

Met me right where I was, and I am going back again for more! I love hearing it from Christy's voice! made it all the more precious to hear her saying her own words with the inflections and pauses that she wanted us to hear.

Rest: something we all need, but don’t make a priority.

A beautifully written reflection of God and His love that expressed how He holds us close and loves us in the good and the uncertain times in our lives! I wept at the end of the painting story! What a precious gift that mirrors the image of being embraced in Him in this world, but also for eternity!
