Terrible narration

I love Liane Moriarty and this story was enjoyable. But I’ve heard more engaging timbre and emotional range by asking Alexa for today’s weather.

Laugh out loud ... for real

Heather Wild’s droll sarcastic reading of Moriarity’s witty prose is highly entertaining. No one could have narrated this better. I found myself laughing and smiling many times throughout this cleverly constructed book.
Sophie finds herself on the receiving end of her ex boyfriend, Thomas’ aunt Connie’s house. The house located on an island where many years before there was a mystery.
Naturally, she’s taken aback, and the usual family dramas and mystery solving ensues. Witty observations about human behavior and self deprecating inner dialogue makes this another winner under Lianne Moriarity’s belt. Loved every minute of it loved the narration , was sad to finish it.

Another wonderful book by Moriarty

If you like Moriarty’s characters, the way they talk and think and relate to one another you must read this book. As usual there are a few family secrets, a few family problems, and a lot of warmth and love. Some reviewers said the book has a slow start. I didn’t notice it. It was a pleasure listening to this lovely witty story from beginning to end.

Wonderful Story Teller

I love her unique style, wit and biting sense of humor. Her books play out like thrillers but they’re really dramas but also funny ;-) I couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to start the next one.

A lot is going on in this book

When I first started listening to this book, I literally was falling asleep to the boring voice of the narrator! I tried another day and so on till I decided to cancel this book. I was unable to cancel. Since I bought it, I forced myself to get through it and try to decifer the didn't characters...Eventually I enjoyed the story with ALL THAT IS GOING on, so many characters and events, twists and turns! I would have been better off buying the physical book and really enjoy the story instead of trying to get beyond the narrator's boring pompous tone.
