How To Get Rid of Irritability and Anger Without Pissing Anyone Off

Stress and Anger Expert Doc Orman, M.D. Shares His Secrets To Curing Anger

If you want to be happier, healthier and more peaceful, this audiobook is for you! You will learn:

How To Eliminate Anger Before It Eliminates You

Dr. Mort Orman has been studying irritability and the impact of anger on your health, success and life for years. In his research, he found a proven strategy that works for getting rid of anger and irritability fast, without drugs or medications.

One Simple Process For Turning Negative Thoughts Into Fuel For Growth

When you eliminate negative thoughts and energy from your life, you'll feel a sense of calm an inner peace like you've never felt before. But this is the power of negative thinking - when you turn your negative thoughts around, you actually create more energy and power that moves you into the direction you want to go in your life faster than you've ever moved before.

Why Going For Happiness Is The Quickest Path To What You Want

So often in life we try to be right instead of being happy. We argue to protect our viewpoint when we could just as easily let the argument go and be happy. Learn how to reprogram your mind and subconscious habits and never have another unnecessary argument again!

Some good Info, but not worth the price

This little pamphlet essentially advises you to be mindful of what you are feeling. That's always good advice, but this presentation is poor: Very little advice or examples on how to put his idea into practice, very repetitive ( all this info could have been on 1 page - in fact, he sums it up on an index card that he suggests you write up), and for some odd reason he insults The Affordable Care Act, out of nowhere. If the author put some meat into this, it might have been a more helpful purchase. When listening I felt like I was sitting at a timeshare sales pitch in exchange for free ski lift tickets. Not recommended.

Try Pema Chodron ( any book ) or the RAIN meditation by Tara Brach .

Short. Could’ve been shorter.

Irritation is really a form of anger.

Assigning blame is not usually productive. The causes of annoyances are diffuse.

Our culturally learned patterns can be replaced with new patterns.

Develop your ability to see where your evaluations may be very wrong.

It takes time to change your automatic body responses to annoyance stimuli. Keep reframing the meanings of your experiences.

This technique really works eventually.

Irritability

Dr Orman puts things into perspective as to why one gets angry. Very good points in the book and an action plan. Good book.

Enlightening!

What I liked about this book was how clear and to the point the information is. What I disliked was how repetitive it was in the beginning.

I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone as we are all human and deal with anger.
Also this book was a fast read/listen and although I will need more time to absorb what I heard/read I will and I am confident in success.

Not that great

I wasn't super impressed by this book. It seems like he's trying to sell you something for most of the book.

Blah, blah, blah, 3x5 index card, blah, blah...

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book was almost entirely preamble to a guaranteed way to overcome irritability, but it never really got to the meat of anything. I have listened to it twice and I didn't glean anything from it other than a 3x5 index card to figure out why you're irritable, then no real solution to help you deal with it. I'm not going to lie. I found myself getting irritated at the book not getting to the point. I will listen a third time (because it's short) but I doubt I'll get much more out of this sales pitch for an index card.

Would you ever listen to anything by Doc Orman MD again?

No

Would you be willing to try another one of Matt Stone’s performances?

Maybe

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No.

BASIC

I finished but it offered no new insights on anxiety and really didn't give much about how to overcome the problem. it only identified the problem. Not that helpful.

study guide, not book

not something to listen to, but rather needed info from hard copy to complete exercises.

Includes a political statement

The audio book contains a biased political statement about the ACA. The statement is irrelevant to the book’s topic and gives no contextual information about the ACA. Don’t waste your time; there are other audio books that stick to the topic without cheap political shots.
