Good story

Very slow in places , I had to fast forward more than once. Narrator read the male characters very believably.

One of my favorites come to life on audio

Judith Ivory books are classic romance. Barbara Rosenblat did a wonderful job capturing the characters. Highly enjoyable.

The Indiscretion

I found this to be an enchanting and amusing love story with a quizzical twist. Normally the young ladies are so innocent - what a nice surprise to find a lady who is inquisitive about the sexual experience - I enjoyed every moment. The narrator Barbara Rosenblat was also excellent.

Great entertainment

If you really want some hours of entertainment without much thinking this is a great book for it. I enjoyed it very very much.
Great narrator's voice too. Only in between sentences there is a strange noise, just if she is doing something with her tongue in her mouth. A bit distracted.

beautifully narrated

I am turning into a big Judith Ivory fan and really enjoyed this love on the moors story. Would have been 5 stars but thought it dragged when they tried to figure out how to be together back at her home

Loved it

I thought the story was great, with sense of humor and strong willed characters. I really did like the narrator first time I heard her. So now I have to check out other books by Judith Ivory *****

Come on, no one wants to hear that spit in her mouth!

Awesome story. On of the best historical romances I’ve read in a while. But omg, the person who edited this should be fired!! I know you can remove that sound, my daughter had a sound editing class and learned how. It is really a testament to how good the story was that I got through it with that horrible spitty-mouth sound.

Entirely too much sexual description, the book would sell on story telling merit alone.

The author can write a good story but , goodness, too much sexual information! Barbara Rosenblat is a fantastic narrator, my favorite. My preference is cosy mysteries, less violence, blood, sex and evil. If I were editor, it would be a much shorter novel. I will not be seeking other books by the author.

Terrific story

I thought this a wonderful story of two people thrown together by fate, a British lady and-an American ‟cowboy‟. The two might seem worlds apart but had more in common than they expected. The characters are colorful and the historical setting is interesting for this story as well. The narration is very well done by a talented artist.
That said, the production or recording unfortunately includes the sounds of swallowing and normal human functions not normally included in a well produced audiobook. This is not to fault the narrator but the production staff, so I couldn't in all honesty give it the five stars this story deserves.
