Twists & Turns

Very engaging story about 2 brothers who veer in 2 different directions while being dedicated to one another. Lots of twists in the story. Listened to it in one day-could not turn it off.

Action and suspense galore!

This is a nonstop, full-throttle, look-out-below thriller, with the best descriptions of fights and mayhem you’ll ever read. It also features some amazing plot twists. Good stuff!

Fast-paced and gripping story with ruthless characters. First book I’ve listened to by Alex Smith, can’t wait for the next one.

Mildly Pleasing

Loved the narration. The story was entertaining however I do want my heroes to be smarter than I am. I sadly could tell where the plot was headed and had to keep listening while my predictions were confirmed.

Very enjoyable

This was a quick read, and easy to listen. The camaraderie between brothers was heartwarming. I enjoyed the book very much.

Quick, Engaging Listen

I read everything JD Kirk offers and he has mentioned Alex Smith a few times. This offering was free on Audible Plus so I gave it a try. Impressed. Decent writing, well developed plot and characters I'm willing to get to know better. The English teacher was at once dense, yet skilled (or maybe just lucky). Either way, it was a little implausible. But that's a small complaint and Ill add other Alex Smith books to my wish list.

Firstly, Colin Mace did a really good job narrating! It was my first time listening to him, but it won't be my last. I will definitely have to check out other books narrated by him.

The book itself was superb, Alex Smith never fails to capture his audience's hearts and minds. This is a true thriller and one heck of a ride! Definitely give it a go, and then check out his DCI Kett series! You won't regret it!
