A read chosen for our book group

Good content and particularly relevant , but I felt the writing could have been tighter. Sometimes I felt like the author explored too much of the obvious instead of letting the reader draw their own conclusions.

Very Timely

Although this book is about Germany during the time of Hitler, the story and message very much apply to what our country is going through more than 80 years later. I highly recommend it.

Slow start but great story.

This one was a challenge for me. I had to make myself listen but about halfway through that all changed. I ended up liking it.

New perspective to WWII era

This offers a new perspective to WWII. Not sure why, but couldn’t quite connect with the story.

Good read

The story is interesting weaving of characters and times and places. It was a fun read, but I felt the storyline was a bit obvious.
