interesting albeit disjointed storyline. Left too many unanswered themes hanging. rushed end to epilogue created more confusion

Loved it

Really enjoyed listening to the story of Kalahn and reveynn. I knew they had the hots for each other from the beginning of the series. I’m just glad their story came together perfectly but with a bit of danger. Definitely recommend.

great book and series

I really enjoyed this audio book and the entire series too hoping there will be more to come. great job Jessie Donovan. The narrators were great thank you for all your hard work too.❤❤

The Forbidden

Both Narrators do a great job with the characters. The characters are distinct and sound interesting. They each handle both male and female voices well.

Kalahan, Princess and bored with her duties gets a chance to be more than a political bargaining chip. She can help her brother, help meld two diverse cultures. All she has to do is pretend the man training and guarding her isn't one she can't forget.

Ryvan would do anything for his best friend and Prince. A bonus is helping his mother along the way. He just has to figure out how to pretend his friend's sister isn't the woman he can't forget. Can they work together and ignore their feelings? Or is it possible that on this new planet the stringent rules aren't so stringent?


The author says her characters write her books. These guys must really enjoy a complicated, dangerous, erotic life. They've trusted the right person to tell their story. Will one sacrifice themselves to protect and fulfill their mission? Will they take a forbidden rule and change it?

One thing for sure, the listener will wonder how it will all work out right up to the end.
