Beautiful, raw and emotional love story!

This breathtaking love story was so compelling, I could not put it down. This is the kind of love triangle story that completely breaks my heart before putting it back together so beautifully, and I loved every word! Haydn was in love with Ophelia from the moment he saw her. She was it for him, but he could see she was nursing a broken heart. He had so much patience as he waited for her to be ready to move on, and fall in love with him. Just when they thought they were going to build a life together, Ophelia's first love is back in her life. She never completely let go of the anguish and guilt from the aftermath after their accident years ago. Now she is sucked into this horrible predicament where she’s faced with choosing between her first love and the man who helped repair her heart. I absolutely loved Haydn and the love and patience he had for Ophelia while trying to overcome his own insecurities. Ophelia had a strength and resilience that shined through even as she struggled with the guilt and pain she thought was buried. My heart also broke for Keane, for the time he lost and his long road to recovery. Burgoa does such a great job of leading us through Ophelia’s emotional journey. I love the way she weaves this breathtaking story, including flashback sequences, that helps us to understand and empathize with each character and the depth of their feelings and their relationships.
The narration by Lee Samuels, Stephanie Németh-Parker, and Sean Masters was phenomenal! Samuels’ smooth, deep voice, and perfect inflections made Haydn come alive and made me swoon! Németh-Parker's brilliant delivery compelled me to feel every agonizing decision, and moments of joy, that Hazel experienced. Masters nailed the lost man who had to learn to live again. These narrators embodied these characters perfectly making my heart race from beginning to end. This is a gripping, and poignant story that ends with such hope, and I loved every moment of this beautiful, raw and emotional journey.

Angsty perfection!

Angsty perfection! The Fault in Forever by Claudia Burgoa was an emotional, slow-burn romance that took my heart on quite a memorable journey. Ophelia and Hadyn’s journey to HEA was full of longing, heartache, and healing. Claudia always knows how to bring on the ugly cry moments, yet leave your heart feeling satisfied and healed.

Stephanie Nemeth-Parker and Lee Samuels perform this audiobook in dual narration, featuring Sean Masters. Stephanie always breathes so much life into Claudia’s words creating the perfect amount of vulnerability and passion in her tone to capture all of Ophelia’s conflicted emotions. Lee’s broody, warm voice encompassed Hadyn’s steadfast dedication and devotion that never faltered even in their darkest moments. Both narrators create tension and longing that makes you long for these two to be together. Plus, Sean’s deep voice showcased Keane’s uncertainty and determination to live again in the new world he woke up to.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of an angsty, emotional romance with a hardworking photographer, a hunky hockey player, a famous rockstar, flashback moments, second chances, spicy times, a love triangle, intimate conversations, uncertainty about the past, new truths, sibling secrets, love declarations, tough decisions, and a HEA that will capture your heart, then you will love Ophelia’s romance.
