Incredible, a Warhammer book for the ages!

Just.... Wow. it was so well written and preformed, well done GW. I'll definitely keep an eye out for more.

CADIA STANDS!!!

I love that the author is an ex military man like myself, his shout out to S. Korea my home country was pretty neat that he drew inspiration from there. This story is great I didn't want to ruin anyone's experience by giving any hints while writing a review of this book. The story was engaging and worth every minute to listen to via audible and everyone should listen to this one.

I thought besides how OP Abaddon was it was a great book. A great depiction of 40K lore

The narrator did a superb job with his performance. Every character had a unique and believable voice.

Story had a quick ending that felt slightly rushed. However it was not a major setback.

What a journey. This book broke me. The brutality, heroism, sacrifice, devastation and dedication. A must read for 40k fans

Amazing!

This book is long but it fully covers the events of the fall of Cadia. We see all the heroic and tragic moments of the last days of Cadia and the beginning of a new age in Warhammer 40,000 with the birth of the Cicatrix Maledictum. Abaddon, Creed, Caul, St. Celestine, Inquisitor Greyfax, and Trazyn are all here all with their own plans or schemes. Quality narration by David Seddon who does a masterful performance, and well paced plot with devastatingly melancholy prose by Robert Rath. I am normally a Space Marine / Custodes enjoyer but this novel gave me a great perceptive of the Imperial Guard in the 41th millennium. Bravo!

Amazing read

Loved this book, and loved the excerpt from the writer at the end. Was very good listen

A true epic

I have to admit, I was hesitant to begin this one given the length, but Rath's writing, including The Infinite and the Divine, convinced me to dig in. I'm so glad I did. an epic that covers one of the most pivotal events in modern 40k lore, with a cast of fully fleshed out, fascinating, and memorable characters- even the smallest ones with enough depth to get you genuinely invested in every part of the story. masterfully narrated, with several portions (including the foxhole poem) punching way above their weight class here and elevating this far beyond another genre entry, into the ranks of what I would call a modern sci-fi/fantasy classic.
