THE STORY

Fresh Astra Militarum forces from the Arkhan Confederates are sent in to break the stalemate on Dolorosa Coil, and annihilate the xenos. But greater forces are at work, and the Confederates soon find themselves broken and scattered. As they fight a desperate guerrilla war, their only hope may lie in the hands of a disgraced commissar, hell-bent on revenge.

Intrigue

I really liked the suspense that this subtly carried through out the story. This was really good

good book, great performance.

Book has very similar vibes to Apocalypse Now or Full Metal Jacket. It has great characters and worldbuilding, but you are going to be shown the worst of humanity and the galaxy.

Very Compelling

I really am a fan for the lore, but this story kept me listening for the characters.

A great part to the dark coil series

it's just a good guard book, with solid showing of tau. It treats chaos very subtly and show creepy worlds of warhammer. This is a must read.

One of the best writers in the setting.

No one does it like Fehervari. Just a great story, and very well told. Narrator did a very good job as well.
