Loved This Book

I loved every minute of this book. I loved how they got back together. The brother turned his life around and that she got to repay his dad for helping her mom. Now I want a sequel about the brothers life and how he has changed. Amazing

Review: The Day He Came Back

The Day He Came Back by Penelope Ward is yet another emotionally charged, sexy romance from a must-read author. A second chance romance that is about so much more than JUST second chances. Told in dual points of view between Raven and Gavin, this story had me hooked from the first page.

Raven may come from the other side of the bridge in Palm Beach but she knows her worth. Gavin is tired of the haughty expectations of his mother and wants nothing more than to be happy, and Raven makes him happy. But when social standing becomes more important than her own sons happiness the relationship that was just getting started between Raven and Gavin implodes.

Fast forward ten years and it is sheer cosmic fate that has Raven and Gavin back in the same house at the same time. Will they ever be able to get past their history and work out their differences or is this meeting just a chance to properly say goodbye.

The audio narration is as to be expected from such a stellar duo as Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. Two wonderful voices that bring the characters to life.

Emotional, heart-breaking, romantic, sexy, powerful - as always - Loved it! Enjoy!

Now this is going in to my favorites. I cannot begin to explain how this story had me in my feels. Gavin and Raven both with a beautiful heart and soul and just perfect for each other. I gambled with this book as I tried the pick one and just read it . I am so glad this book did not disappoint. It was so good that I finished it in one day..

Exceptional story and narration!

I listened to the audio version of this book. This was my first book by this author and I loved it! It certainly had all the feels. It is a second chance trope that's actually pretty complicated by the lives the characters lead. The book just seemed to have a little extra to it that pushed it over the top for me. The characterization of ALL the players in the story was superb. You have the classic poor working girl and the ultra rich guy, but Gavin was a wonderful person who just had lots of things to work through.
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York are my favorite paired narrators and they did a great job with this book (as always). If you've never listened to them, this would be a great book to start with!

nice relaxing listen, a little predictable but still a nice romance with a little spice.

This book was amazing. Strong characters, strong story and it actually made me tear up. Well worth the credit!

As always Andi did a superb job and Sebastian, well his voice just does hits you in your soul.

Emotional rollercoaster!!

What to some may seem so obvious may be so difficult for others. The characters in this story are all brought to life by the narrators who are doing a very good job. The presented dilemmas are relevant and nothing impossible or not realistic happens. Sometimes it's the smallest things keeping you from your biggest achievements. This book served as a good reminder of that. Take home message: never underestimate the power of good and honest communication. What you think might be the reason may not be right at all. Not even close.
