You have to give it your full attention.
I plan on listening to it again. I’m sure I didn’t get most of the story. I had a hard time keeping track of all the caricatures.

Classic?
I know this book is supposed to be a classic, but having read it for the first time I dont understand why. Maybe in its time it brought something new to the art of storytelling, I just dont know, but it seemed like a really bad soap opera.

Watch the Movie instead!
I know this was a revised version of the book … but it’s missing so much! & it’s so hard to follow with all the characters & their Title names! Just take the time to listen to the original 52 hour book … or better yet… watch the Movie!

It good but..
It good but I wasn't the version I was looking for, I was looking for the abridged version with the intro by Roger Celestin. I don't think audible has it l, but it would be a huge help if it was. It's a book that teens uses in their British Literature class like me so many would finish it helpful if it was read to them as they followed along. I have a reading disability where I can't understand older pieces of literature unless it's read to me, because otherwise I'll get confused and lost.
This is a very good book. It's just not what I'm looking for.

This book is a complete scam
It only contains 4 chapters!! I was outraged to find out that this audio book only contained 4 chapters!
