Book Four: Loose Ends

Book Five: The Dead Client
Hall’s latest case involves a woman who’s receiving threatening notes. As soon as he’s hired, though, the woman turns up dead. But that’s not the end of the case for Hall. Even though his client is dead, that won’t stop him. He’s going to get to the bottom of this case and find out the murderer.
Through several twists and turns, Hall and Charlotte will find out who killed their dead client.
Book Six: The Shakedown
Hall is approached by a marketing executive, asking him to check in on the man's son who has been acting strange as of late. Though it initially looks like a boring case marked by possible infidelities, the case quickly spirals out of control, and they soon realize there is more than meets the eye.
As Hall and Charlotte investigate, several dead bodies pop up, and they are aided by the mysterious James Rankin, who has his own reasons for helping.

Would have given it a 5 but…
Normally, I love the authors books and series. Yet, with this series I find the flirtatious and jealous banter to be predictable and corny. I will not be reading the next books in the series.

Horrible Book Series
I kept waiting on Brandon's girlfriend to die. The story would have been so much better without her ignorant personality. The only woman who would put herself in dangerous situations and get in fights are women who are highly training and even then they have zero chance to beat a strong violent man even if she knows BJJ. Size and strength matter in some cases just as much as skill.

Charlotte is a horrible person
I really wish the author would get rid of her. I don’t care if he kills or writes her off. She is so snobby & thinks she knows everything.
