story was predictable

narrator was very monotone. story jumped all over, and was not very scary at all.

Should have been called "The Liberal"

The idea behind the story is good, the narrator has trouble with female voices and accents. The biggest issue is how far it goes to tic all of the liberal boxes to include distinguishing between a "black man" being his race and not his color, and a woman who "wants to be a lesbian". If these were relevant to the story or a characters view given their background it would be understandable, but it is just thrown in to make woke points.

Irreverent comedic romp.

I enjoyed this irreverent series. There are tons of tongue-in-cheek references to current and past horror characters and situations. The narrator wasn’t great with female voices is my only complaint.

An ok way to pass a long car ride.

This was one of my least favorite books that I managed to get through. It was billed as funny but it was full of not funny dad jokes. If you are into dad jokes, then this book is for you! The book pulled in pieces of so many tables, fairy tales and thrillers that it was all over the place.

too woke

Too woke for my tastes. Gave up after chapter 6. Can't recommend. Started off okay but got liberal fast.
