Such a Sweet Story

Loved the story! It's very well done.

Loved the narrator, first time hearing her but she did very well, even with the male voices.

I haven't read a book this good in years!

Great storyline and loveable characters. I really wish there was a part 2! The only down side was the beginning forcing the issue of the main character as bi. I almost quit reading it. Not because she was bi, they had hints and shows of it, no biggie. But the old adage of show, don't tell comes into place. she showed it fine, gave the idea of it so we know the character was or could be bi, but than the author had to tell, which cheapened a wonderful story. We are smart readers and we get it. This is where her editor and proof readers failed her. None the less the story was a fun adventure and she showed the rest of the story and characters personalities flawlessly this forth.
I recommend this story to lovers of adventure.

Easy listen

Original story, fast and easy book. The story could have used a little more substance, more depth to the characters. However, the author makes it clear early on that Flora is interested in men and women, even though Lazarus is clearly her love interest. Gotta keep it pc. I find that to be pretty irritating, in all YA fiction, we must have some lgbtq characters, whether applicable to the story or not. Not to mention, abortion, rape, and modern feminist themes, that seem about of place in this instance.
Otherwise, an enjoyable story, with some monster violence, mild language, and the above mentioned topics(insinuated)
