Robin Jones Gunn has done it again!

Robin Jones Gunn has done it again! Her descriptions and lovely words always make my mouth salivate, and my mind go dreamy. Before reading this book, sadly, I had no desire to visit Africa. Now, I am plotting what needs to done to get me to Africa. I loved the friendship between Fern and Lily, and pray I will someday experience such a sisterly bond with a friend. I can't wait to read more of the Suitcase Sister's adventures. Thank you for this lovely story.

Heartwarming story!

Tea with Elephants is a heartwarming story about two best friends who take the trip of a lifetime to Africa. It was a sweet journey of friendship, faith, and rediscovering life. Fern and Lily were women in their late thirties who had been best friends for so long, and I love that they got to take this trip they had always wanted to take together. Both were going through something in their lives and were able to work through it while on their trip. This was my first book by Robin Jones Gunn, and I look forward to reading more.

Loved the African adventure

This book captured the wonder of Africa and the friendship of two suitcase sisters. We all need to have a friend like Fern and Lily. I loved how Robin was able to describe the cultural differences and how the characters were able to learn and listen to God's gentle nudges.

I feel Ike I just arrived back from a trip to Africa. The descriptions were so detailed!

I love the parts about the different transitions life takes us and how we must rely on God to clear our minds and see what he wants to do next because it will be beautiful

A great escape to Africa

Friendship. Fern and Lily, who met as teenagers 20 years ago, embark on an adventure to Africa that tests and strengthens their bond. Watching their friendship provide unwavering support through family and career challenges was heartwarming and inspiring. The safari in Kenya added a vivid, escapist element that transported me right alongside them. A great read about enduring friendships and new adventures.

Gunn does it again!

Such a warm and touching read! The end was so powerful, I didn't expect to cry, it was that good!

Just Ok

The book wasn't bad, but, if I knew how bland it would be, I would've done without it. Just kind of a diary of how she & a friend enjoyed their trip to Africa - no excitement, no drama, nothing of splendor - just two friends.

Not really much. Just a description of a trip. Rather banal. Not great writing. Pretty superficial.
