Great writing, delectable stories.

Intense believable but not stereotyped characters in unusual plots with dialog that seems real, the stories are very hard to put down.

The intricate storyline with many surprises

The narrator is excellent and brought the characters to life. Tolles writes intelligent and insightful fiction, so he drew me deeply into the story.

A Great Towles Read as Usual

For Towles fans, I needn’t say anymore than to welcome you into another brilliantly crafted collection of stories from our favorite writer. For those new to Towels … welcome to the greatest writer of our generation (in my humble opinion).

Incredible Short Stories

The six short stories were some of the best I’ve ever read. I didn’t love the novella as much but as a compilation it’s superb.

I rarely every pick short story collections. Prior to purchasing I didn't read anything about this selection, as I had preordered it since I have liked everything this author has written. I didn't realize until a couple hours in that it was short stories. I ended up liking all of them. There is a novella at the end that connects back to Rules of Civility. It was also good. Overall I'm glad I listened.

Outstanding stories

Takes out does himself once again of course reading rules of civility first truly made this book fun interesting and a pleasure eve is a remarkable character and weaving her story with Olivia and Hollywood made an old movie buff smile with every chapter

Amor Towles at his best !

As a huge fan of A Gentleman in Moscow I was willing to give his new novel a try and was not disappointed . Between his writing and the narrator’s performance I loved it !

Great characters, irony, humor, and morality.

This author and reader are terrific once again. I was momentarily skeptical of a collection of short stories and a novella, but I should have known better.

Love Unexpected Endings

I love everything Amor Towles writes! This book is no exception. The vignettes are fun, entertaining, and captivating. Then, POW the ending you didn’t see coming. As always, the narration is superb.
