This book is going to give me nightmares. Listening to murdering convicts loose in a town is scary and gory. I absolutely loved it and the range of voices Bishop has makes it truly terrifying.

it's different and sick. well written freaky as hell. comes from a sick place. I enjoyed it very much.

Excellent thriller

Wow. This book has something for everyone if you love an action packed character rich read or listen. It is a dark thriller with lots of twists and turns.

Sweet Home

Sweet Home was scary as heck! To me, stories like this is the real monsters in the dark that scare you. There are real monsters as this audio book shows. Very well written story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed this!

Good story, poorly narrated.

I've listened to hundred audiobooks. This just might be the worst narration I've been subjected to, top 5 for sure. it was so bad I had a difficult time comprehending the content.

I did enjoy the story. Definitely a unique take on the genre.

Overall is was a good listen

Here is my honest opinion. I liked the story plot. Perfect for a movie. Four ruthless convicts get a chance for a last fling to terrorize and small town. One of the convicts sees this as his opportunity to reach his kill goal.

The violence was there but I was surprised that it wasn't as gory as I thought it would be.

But here was the problem for me...I did not like the narrator when he was actually narrating but I liked the voices of each character he used. His voice was a bit harsh and unemotional. But when he switch to the character voices I thought he was great.

I liked the ending until they went a little unrealistic and off the body of the story.

Bottom line this is worth the listen.

Loved the story but the narrator....

I enjoyed the book and will listen to others by this author ONLY if the narrator is a different one. I almost stopped listening due to the narrator but I kept listening because I was liking the story. It really is true that the narrator will make or break a story. I may order the book via Kindle and read it just to get a different perspective. So if you like this genre you will like the author but I would caution you on the narrator. He is flat, reads as if he is reading aloud and not putting anything into the story. Try the Kindle version first.

Narrator ruined this one ...

Don’t listen to the Audible. The narrator has no tone, seemingly no sense of what punctuation marks are for. He sounds like he’s angrily reading a cargo manifest. Gonna have to read this one the old fashioned way.

How was this even published.

This has got to be the dumbest book I have ever listen to! I kept thinking that it would get better but the book and the narration never did. Don’t waste your time or money!
