WHAT A WONDERFUL STORY! NARRATION WAS AMAZING. MS BAKER DID A GREAT JOB ON ALL THE VOICES. MANY TIMES IT'S HARD WHEN THE OPPOSITE SEX NARRATING CANNOT DO THE MAIL OR FEMALE VOICES CONVINCINGLY BUT MS BAKER DID A GREAT JOB. MS DARE REALLY KNOWS HOW TO WRITE A STORY. THERE WAS SO FEW REVIEWS THAT I TOOK A CHANCE ON THIS ONE AND I'M VERY GLAD I DID. I WILL BE PURCHASING THE REST OF THEM IN THIS SERIES. IN FACT I LOVE ALL OF HER STORIES. SHE HAS A WONDERFUL WAY OF BUILDING WORLDS CHARACTERS STORY STORYLINE DRAMA ROMANCE SMEX. THIS STORY HAS ALL THE INGREDIENTS IN ALL THE RIGHT PROPORTIONS AND I'M SO VERY GLAD I READ IT AND YES I WILL BE READING IT AGAIN. LOVE THE HERO IN THIS ONE REALLY REALLY LOVE THE HERO IN THIS ONE; LORD LOVE A BIG STRONG STRAPING MAN WHO KNOWS HOW TO FEEL AND LOVE.

Enjoyable

I usually don’t like stories including ships but, I did like this story. A women who wants more then what is expected of her.

Good story, horrible narrator

I enjoyed the story. I would have liked it more if I had read it in print and not listened to the audiobook. The fake English accent and pronounced lisp of the narrator were unbearable. I limped through this one because the story was good. It was free, so it was worth the price.

The narrator invited you into the story. The plot was intriguing. The story tied in well with the previous book.

This is one of my favorites by Tessa dare it has good story good romance, and adventure.

Swept me off my feet

Tessa is such a talented author. This book was funny, sexy, intelligent, and thoroughly historically researched. She wastes no words. The genre is taken to a higher level, and she raised the bar.
The characters. The setting. The plot. The twists. The STEAM. I LOVED IT ALL.
I can’t wait to start the next book.
And talk about the perfect pairing of author and reader! Well done, Ms. Baker. She gets the style. And she’s SO funny.

Baffled by the positive reviews.

I love Tessa Dare, she is one of the best authors for this genre, but….

This story dragged on and on with two shallow and morally horrible people treating each other horribly for way too long. Frankly it was exhausting to the point I had to increase the speed by a lot just to get through all the overdone angst.

Enjoyable story

I enjoyed this story. It kept me intersted. I listened to it at a speed of 1.5 and it made it a good pace. I liked both main characters and was rooting for them. I was happy with the conclusion of the book.

A truly lovely romantic tale

This book has all the proper ingredients for a great read. The characters are believable, the adventures are exhilarating and the romance knocks your socks off.
