Resumen del Editor

The Academy is falling apart and I may be one of the only people who can hold it together.

Surviving Freshman and Sophomore years at the Supernatural Academy was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But now, an even harder task awaits....

....staying away from Rowan Underwood.

He’s made his choice, going with the very people responsible for every evil that’s befallen us over the last two years. I’m over him. Or, at least that’s what I tell myself.

But I’ve got other things to worry about. Mainly, how to keep the Academy together while gnomes run rampant, foes attack, and the leadership struggles just to keep order.

The question is can I keep it all together without losing myself in the process?

You will love the continuation of this magical academy series with kick-ass action, hot romance, and earth-shattering magic that will make you tingle in all the right places.

Get it now.

Charlie’s time as a Junior Witch is Outstanding!!

Although Rowan had turned into a Vampire, Charlie had spent most of her last year at the Academy and her summer as well trying to help him break this curse, and to return to the Academy, even tying herself to him so he could draw magic from her and go to the school. However, Rowan has turned his back on all of it, and joined Tempest and the Subversives, turning on the Academy, and worse, joining those responsible for the death of his Father.
Initially Charlie tries to forget him, to purge him from her mind, and after the death of Dean Underwood, and with Dean McIntosh still missing, Charlie decides that she has to change her behaviour, and how she does things for good.
In this book, we see the introduction of the Fae, with their University, Merry Weather, having been shut down due to issues, they transfer to the Supernatural Academy, and Charlie does not take long before she is making eyes with a Fae called Sinasre who just happens to be making every girl on campus melt into a puddle.
Charlie really tries in this book to be a good girl, focusing on her studies, and staying out of trouble, but it just seems that no matter what is happening, trouble will come and find her. With her faithful sidekicks, the delightful, and rather delicious Disha, (I swear her name is a play on Dish – because she is meant to be such a ‘Dish’), who, although has a boyfriend, still manages to keep every boy wanting her, and teases all of them with her wardrobe and her actions, and some Fae actively trying to take her. And then there is Bridget, who is has always been borderline given her parents occupation, but has probably slipped over that line since the attack and subsequent withdrawal from the Academy of her Brother. Now Bridget is ready for payback, and hell hath no fury like a Bridget Scorned….
With break-ins, attacks, thefts of powerful magical items, and Subversives misbehaving, the girls are struggling to keep up with everything, and Charlie is having a hard time keeping up her promise to be a good girl and stay out of trouble.
This book does see a subtle shift in Charlie, she is a bit older, and with that growth, we see a relaxing of her attitude towards sex, and Charlie becomes much more of a sexual creature in this book. There are some incredibly intense scenes in this book that you are going to want to make sure that you are not disturbed for!!
But it is not just this side of Charlie that has changed.
When Charlie lost Trey, she was younger, and she thought of vengeful things, she was brash, and quick to fire up, and acted without thinking. However, these actions have gotten her into strife, both into the trouble with authority kind, and the ‘Oh God, Oh God I’m going to Die’ kind.
After the death of Dean Underwood, for which Charlie directly blames herself, because as she sees it, if she hadn’t been involved, the Dean wouldn’t have had to act, and thus save her, and he wouldn’t have then lost his life.
Charlie has matured over the series, and her character has grown quite a bit. The ongoing inner monologue has come to realise the mistakes, learning from them, and trying to not only fix them, but to avoid them to begin with. Disha is still rather self-obsessed, and has not changed much, and if anything, Bridget has become even more aggressive since they stared and her Brother was taken down by Subversives.
This book I think showed a real change in the series as it become a much more complex story, there are a lot more aspects to the story, with the Romance not just about kissing, but deeper feelings and intimacy, leading towards, well no spoilers here, but geez, make sure you have some privacy!!
The action sequences are next level, the intricate detail and depth of the spell casting is (pardon the pun), Magical, in that the Authors have really thought about this aspect of the story, and instead of just some ‘Handwavium’, have included comprehensive details of the magic to make the story more realistic, and it gives the story so much more depth. More importantly, there has been a real development of the storylines, moving from just the simpler stories of Charlie becoming a Witch, finding a boy etc, to some very complex, multi-faceted storylines involving the Subversives aspects within the Subversives, different things with the Academy, there are stories with nearly all of her Teachers, her Friends, now the Fae, even her Bracelets. It moves this from being something that is more young-adult into something that is more of an Adult Urban Fantasy, and most definitely worth the read, as no matter which storyline you are currently arcing down, all of them are not only exceptional, but make for a lot of fun.
The other thing I really like about this series is the continued portrayal of creatures such as the Vampires and Werewolves, in which the Authors have made them their own, but still paid homage to the original legends, and haven’t done anything really weird with them. It just makes for a great Urban Fantasy story.
If you are looking for something that is a fantastic read, in every sense of the word, the Supernatural Academy series will not let you down, it has to be one of the best I have read in the Genre.
Kasi Hollowell once again does a brilliant job of narrating the characters of this series, she has such a great voice for Charlie, she has the exact voice you imagine that Charlie would have. She embodies Charlies emotional states when she is at her worst, and at her best, and conveys them with such passion, we really feel these things that Charlie is feeling thanks to Hollowell’s narration. She does an outstanding job with each of the other characters as well, both male and female, including the addition of the Fae in this book, she manages to add an ethereal quality to their voices, making them sound otherworldly. The Narration is just exceptional, and is wonderful to listen to, Thank you!!

Main character is clueless

okay book but I find that I am really frustrated with the main character with how clueless she is. She just can never leave well enough alone. Same scenario over and over. She doesn't know whole story, goes after what she thinks is right and further messes everything up just to find out the whole story and goes, OH and then comes the guilt and should have left alone thoughts. Same issue now in every book thus far.
