Narrator Ruined It!!!

I think the story was a cute beach read but the narrator sucked the life out of enjoying the storyline.

Very entertaining, great narration.

I don't get all the complaints about Cassandra Campbells narration. She's a pretty popular narrator so why all the surprise. And she is a great narrator. Every narrator has their own style and her style fits Nancy Thayers stories nicely.
Apart from that, Kayleigh is a pretty spoiled little brat, I will admit.

Good story

I liked the story itself. Good story line. But the narrator was hard to listen to.

Narrater ruined this story; Difficult to listen to

I am a fan of Nancy and her books. And although the book itself it great; The Narrater ruined the story and made it extremely difficult to listen to and to get through.

Loved this.

I like the story very much. I love the way the author describes things such as food weather, everything.

Loved this story and the characters. One of the best that Nancy has written. Be sure to read it.

Island life

This book is good overall. Characters good, a bit sappy in sports. Story keeps you entertained.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this book very much. Felt real and heart warming. I have liked all of Nancy Thayer’s books I have read or listened to.

I enjoyed this completely.

Maybe it’s because of where I am in life. My child is grown, I have grandchildren, and it is such a pleasure to read about someone near my age. Most books are about 30-year-olds.

To read about an almost 50-year-old, who is a starting over and refreshing her life, is charming, and very interesting. Her son is grown, her husband is bored and disinterested, and she is still ready to live.

I loved Heather’s attitude and everything she brought to the book. I laughed at her son, his snotty fiancé and everything she learned in the story and everything her son learned. I also enjoyed everything I learned about Nantucket. It was an incredibly charming book.

Nancy Thayer has written 30 books, and she has grown with the books she has written. This is a seasoned, charming, wonderful book.

I’m not sure why some don’t like the narration. Cassandra Campbell is an accomplished, award-winning, veteran narrator. She has narrated everything from Dear Edward to Where the Crawdads Sing. I thought she was wonderful with this book. I’m not sure why so many people disagreed. When I saw she was the narrator I thought, “Oh Nancy, you got a Golden Voice! Lucky you, lucky us.”
Sometimes .1 or .2 faster solves the problem.

Tough one

The narrator made it impossible for me to finish this book. Her voice and character voices were terrible.
