Entertaining but dark

I am a huge Jay Bell fan. This story however was a bit darker than I usually like. It is like all of his books well written. There were just some parts where I got very upset at the characters very unbelievable reactions and decisions.

Emotional Rollercoaster

Listened to the entire book in 1 weekend. Now one of my all-time favourite books

Whirlwind of emotions

I mostly listen to audio books while I’m at work. This book had me going from laughing out loud to tearing up while I was at work. I received many strange looks from customers because of it. I listen with my headphones in so they had no idea why I was laughing or tearing up. I absolutely loved this book!

Amazing!!

This has been one of the best books I have ever listened to. The entire story was so captivating and I never got bored!!

Engaging

I’ve never felt so connected and emotionally involved with a book. I could feel the dynamic of each scene as if it was a memory that I had lived myself. I would say that this is a must read/listen. Can’t wait for someone to turn it into a movie or mini series.

not what I expected!!!

this book was nothing like I thought it was going to be and way darker than expected..... but it was really good!!! the narrator was amazing and was able to keep my attention I enjoyed this book so much that I listened to the whole thing in one day!!! if you're expecting one of those awkward love stories where the gay guy gets the straight boy this is not a book for you LOL

I like how Mr.Bell’s characters have such empathy

I enjoy all of Jay Bell’s work giving a look into a world some day where people can live and love unapologetic

Not what you expect, but still what you need

Very unpredictable. Genuine. Sweet. Nuanced. Poignant. And honest. It wasn’t what I expected it to be, but it was great!

Amazing

This story isn’t the fairy tale straight friend conversion, although it is a beautiful love story. When I was a teenager, I was the “straight girl.” My best friend and soul mate is bisexual, and had a terrible crush on me, one I longed to reciprocate because of the love I had for her, but I simply could not force sexual attraction. Over 30 years later, we are both married to other people and have grown children. We, however, are still as close as soul mates can be. She’s the love of my life, even if it never became sexual. This story was a reminder of what my own beautiful friendship with her has been. I love the message of how love can be just as intense and committed no matter what form that love takes. I highly recommend this powerful story.
