Poignant

I absolutely love Ruth Ware’s work. This one is totally different but equally satisfying. Would like to read more short stories by her.

Quiet despairing of Anguish

The story drew my interest to a situation like so many wars. The illusion of the father was rich with his actions bringing his family through his journey of the mind .

Pulled me right in to a gripping story

I expected a good story from Ruth Ware and I got it. I was right there with Leah during her frightening experience.

Intriguing

A fable for our times about wars external and internal. Love and fear from each family member’s framework. Great pacing and dénouement. .

Short story

I don’t know that this should be worth an entire credit and I wish I had known it was a short story, but it is quite good!

Didn’t realize it was a short story!

Ruth Ware does not disappoint. This was an enjoyable listen with a great narrator. However—pay more attention than I did. In a rush to get out the door, and excited to see a new Ruth Ware title pop up, I did not realize this is under one hour long. I’m a little disappointed to have used a credit on such a short one!

Mehh

Slow moving, not very intriguing and was just a ho hum storyline. It was too easy to figure out the villain which was disappointing because half the fun is all the twists and turns.

Interesting

I enjoyed this short story. I guessed what it was about 1/3 of the way through, but it was still entertaining.

Snowflakes

This is the first of the Hush series I have read, as I like Ruth Ware. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope many more authors will bring more short stories to listen to. I listen while I do my hobbies and it is nice to have a short story. This story was excellent and the narration very good.

Great ending!

This is a short mystery suspense book and it kept me riveted the whole time. Great ending too! I thought it might be ok for middle grades but after I finished I think it is for teens or YA.
