Pulled me right in to a gripping story

I expected a good story from Ruth Ware and I got it. I was right there with Leah during her frightening experience.

Intriguing

A fable for our times about wars external and internal. Love and fear from each family member’s framework. Great pacing and dénouement. .

Poignant

I absolutely love Ruth Ware’s work. This one is totally different but equally satisfying. Would like to read more short stories by her.

Quiet despairing of Anguish

The story drew my interest to a situation like so many wars. The illusion of the father was rich with his actions bringing his family through his journey of the mind .

Snowflakes

This is the first of the Hush series I have read, as I like Ruth Ware. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope many more authors will bring more short stories to listen to. I listen while I do my hobbies and it is nice to have a short story. This story was excellent and the narration very good.

Great ending!

This is a short mystery suspense book and it kept me riveted the whole time. Great ending too! I thought it might be ok for middle grades but after I finished I think it is for teens or YA.

An excellent example of short story writing

Many of the Audible originals are bringing the art of short story telling into the spotlight. This is an example of excellent use of that format. The author is able to covey as sense of foreboding from the very first paragraph. A good short story should leave the reader wanting more, and I definitely would have liked more of this one. And I can’t rave enough about the narration ! Just excellent !

Educated?

this reminded me a lot of Educated. Not very original. I really like Ruth Ware's full length books.

So Relevant to Today

Excellent writing and performance. An eerie story that is so relevant to today's reality.

Good but not great

It was a good for a short story and also cause it was free. The narration was OK, but personally I didn't care too much for the voices she made.
