great listen!

I enjoyed listening to this book. the narrator had a great voice, had slightly different tones for the different characters, not that I'm picky about the accents but she did great with those too. I love this author already and the world she is building with the different books. I was so enjoying and caught up in the story I did extra laser hair removal 😂

Perfect for all ages.

This book is a great book for all ages. I enjoyed the entire story line and found it entertains. The characters are quirky and fun and the narrator did an amazing job. I would even read this with my preteen and think she would truly enjoy kit too!

A great listen

This was a fun new story, and a very quick listen! Lucía does an excellent job at transporting listeners to a creative new setting. I enjoyed Selene, and getting to see her grow and come into her own. The pacing of the book is great, and I really appreciated that the academy setting was done in such a unique and new way. Also, mermaids!! So fun! I’m excited to start book two.

Another must read or listen

How does one deal with being dropped on someone's doorstep wearing clothes and with legs for the first time? Then to find out that most everyone wants you dead or at least take your power before they kill you.
listen to this story and see how she makes it out of the mess after mess.

Fun Hybrid Story

Great start to a series. Much of the story revolves around our heroine Selene finding out she’s not quite what she thought she was and being newly thrust into a world of creatures she knows nothing about. Can’t wait to see more about these characters and where the story goes from here.

Great YA read

For the YA genre it was a great story. I did love the characters and it is a great start to a great series.

More Magical Creatures

Thank goodness I have previously listened to Magical Creatures because this story is from the same world and has some of the same characters. I liked that even with all the action and explanations there was still time for a little romance. And what a cool Magical Creature as a siren/mermaid and an angel. Great characters and unique world building. Loving this story and can't wait for the next book! The narrator did an excellent job putting you right in the middle of the action.

Almost perfect

The idea is great and I loved all the action in the story but the plot was kinda lacking. I feel like it just kept dragging on and on with “what are we going to do with you” and arguing. I get that the author wanted some mystery with what she is but the entire plot is focused on that mystery with no real resolution. Honestly I feel like this whole book could have been condensed and cut out a lot of let’s explain that we know nothing about u all over again.
The idea is great though and I love to world that is created with this authors book. She does a great job with action scenes and creating multiple characters with complex personalities.
I look forward to the next book in this series and some answers!

Cant Wait!!

first time reading Lucìa Ashta

the story was good, but somewhat hard to follow. I believe its because this is the first book of hers ive read and felt like I was already in a storyline that I wasnt sure was going on. I believe this is a side story of magical creatures academy and i have not read any of those so I was somewhat lost figurong out who and what was going on. around chapter 16 though it kinda of clicks and flows pretty decently from there. I'm intrigued and will start at the beginning of the main story line of magical creature academy!
the narrator fit this role beautifully!
