Its hard to like the main character

She's a violent, angry bully on suspension because she hurt one too many people just because it feels good. The story, however, was mostly OK. Too long, I ended skipping through near the end as I was getting bored. I was disappointed the author fell into the trap of making this physically fit female body builder into a lesbian, because of course she would be, right? Instead of a friendship with the local female officer, it had to be sexual. In many respects Hanlon reminds me of JD Robb's Eve Dallas, except for the lesbian aspect. This didn't add to the story, in my opinion, but was simply a bow to current trending opinions supporting the LGB community. Apparently, every book, movie, podcast or TV series is required to have one or more same sex couples. I'll read book 2 (its free), but I won't waste a credit on this author.

But it’ll capture your curiosity, I enjoyed it overall. Worth the free bee book club.

An exciting and flawed protagonist

I enjoyed the characters, pacing, plot and reading if this book. I'm downloading the next in the series now!

Easy to follow but not easy to guess the ending

Although I had a hunch due to a scenario I
toward the end, it still pulled together nicely with some surprise. Impressive narration!!!

Narrator

The story was very good with a lot of twists to hold interest. Some of the narration, usually mens voices, had such a heavy brogue it was difficult to understand.

A great thrilling mystery

I loved this book. An thrilling action mystery, kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat. I will definitely listen to more by this author and recommend to my friends.

Palatable

Good Story, but I had to increase the speed in order to finish. The Narrator read much too slow.

Some miss direction in the plot but well told story. Main character is portrayed as independent and tough.
