After the ending of Shattered Obsession, I was so happy I could jump right into this book for more of Zoe & Dominic! And this book was full of so much tension between these two and I loved it. And the groveling this man does had me melting for him! I was already feral for him before and this just solidified all of those feelings.

The audiobook is narrated in duet by Alora Daniel & Sean Masters and I loved every minute of listening to it! They both perfectly bring this book to life and portray all the emotions of both characters so well! If you’re an audiobook lover, I’d definitely recommend listening to this one!

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little worried going into this book because the male narrator is different from book 1, but Sean Masters did a fantastic job as Dom, and Alora Daniel once again brought Zoe to life beautifully.

In this book, we get to know Zoe and Dominik on a deeper more emotional level. We see how both of them, especially Zoe, struggle with feeling unwanted and undeserving of love, and I gotta say both the author and the narrators did a beautiful representation of this.

I loved how real and relatable Zoe's intrusive thoughts felt. And I also loved how Dom's level of possessiveness never faltered, instead, he just leveled it up every time Zoe tried to fight him on it.

Absolutely loved this duet and am looking forward to hopefully getting to know the rest of the gang better in the future.

Angsty & Sweet

The angst & spice are taken up a few notches in this one.
Zoey is furious and feels completely betrayed, and Dominic has his work cut out for him.
I absolutely love how Dom opens himself up completely and continually shows Zoey that he will always be there for her, he will never give up on her.
Zoey takes her time too. But when she finally decides that she is tired of being upset things explode between them.
The spice in this one is so hot 🥵!
I adore Dom, he is absolutely obsessed with Zoey and loves her inside and out. He shows her over and over again that he will always be there.
There was a lot of healing and passion in this one.
I absolutely loved Zoey & Dom’s story!

I read Shattered Obsession and Shattered Hearts by Tina Spencer back-to-back so I am going to do this review of the duet. I absolutely loved this duet, it was magical. I didn’t realize it was a duet, because the male narrator changes between books, but you must read these in order. These books were so good, it was so easy to listen to these books, I didn’t want to stop. It has some of my favorite tropes (see below) and the narration was absolutely beautiful, even with switching narrators. Both are amazing in their own right so it was no hardship listening to either of them. These were my first books with Alora Daniels, and she did an incredible job as Zoe. Her voice went so well with both Brandon’s and Sean’s. This is an easy book to recommend, and tis will be an author I definitely want more of.

Zoe has once again self-sabotaged herself, which is how she finds herself with a job transfer, and living with her brother in NYC. What she didn’t expect was to be just a few doors above her brother’s best friend, and the boy who drove her crazy growing up, Dominik.

Dominik has gotten himself into some PR trouble all because Zoe slammed back into his life. Now he needs her help to clean up his reputation as the team’s playboy. The problem for Dominik is, none of it is pretend for him.

Zoe has some seriously thick walls Dominik is desperate to break through, but with Zoe’s sorrowful past, her uncertain present, and a future she won’t even let herself imagine, will he be able to crack her outer shell, or will he have to settle for whatever she can give him? Once secrets are revealed, and her past comes crashing back into her life, will she stand and fight or will she do what she does best, and run?

Satisfying conclusion to Zoe & Dominik's story. It begins with Dominik's epic grovel, including a hot "crawl to me" moment. Zoe made Dom earn his spot back in her life.

Narrated in duet by Alora Daniel & Sean Masters. Sean Masters has a sensual deep, growly voice and Alora was great portraying Zoe's playfulness and vulnerability.

Loved it

I really love the way Tina Spencer writes her books, I listened to the first book in this series and loved it so much that I needed to know what happened next to Zoey & Dominik as the first book is a cliffhanger.

Zoey is Aaron’s little sister and Aaron is Dominik best friend so Zoey is forbidden off limits but that doesn’t Dominik from trying to pre-Sue her. Zoey works with the PR department and Dominik is the caption of the hockey team. Zoey is into BDSM and is on one of those apps for that kind of thing where she meets men that she doesn’t know and hooks up with them what Zoey doesn’t know is it’s been Dominik the whole time she has been hooking up with and they also have a fake dating agreement in place to get Dominik image back into place. Dominik is very protective of Zoey I loved that about him. I also just loved the chemistry between them and the hate and just everything was just hot and amazing.

Alora Daniel is a new female narrator and I really loved her voice and she was the perfect match to play Zoey. Definitely need to find more books she is in.

Sean Masters there is something about his voice that I love maybe because he can play a deep voice and thought he did an amazing job playing Dominik and I love listening to books he is in.

GREAT AUDIO

Book 2 in the Hudson Yards series continues the dark story between Zoe and Dom. Book 1 ended on that devastating cliffhanger with Zoe finding out about Dom’s betrayal.
Shattered Hearts picks right up at the end of Book 1. Zoe is destroyed and she has lost all trust in Dominic. This book will be dedicated to him trying to win back her trust and show her that he has loved her all along.
The audio for this book is captivating and fantastic. The duet narration and the chemistry between characters will melt your ears. Sean Masters as Dom walks that fine line between obsession and love so well and that’s not to mention the spice…you’ll just have to listen for yourself. The ending of this story is great and I can’t wait to read Aaron’s story next!

I have recently discovered these two through this book! They did an amazing job of bringing out these characters and their story! It’s a yes for me!

He never gave up, he always showed up, and he always chose her! Absolutely love this man! She deserved everything he did for her and because of her. She deserves the world after everything she’s gone through. And I am soooo happy her brother pulled himself together and was ok with Dom and her together. And I seriously think Aaron and Via are going to be a thing haha! Oh heavens I hope so haha! Aaron needs the challenge lol

Duet Narration that will make you blush!

Another solid four stars for the story & five stars for performance!!!! It picks up right where Shattered Obsession left off. Still hot, still messy, still actually giving us a plot worth following. We got more of Dom’s backstory and it wrapped up his and Zoe’s arc while setting the stage for new characters to take the wheel. The Hudson Yards universe is definitely opening up and I’m pumped to see where it goes. 🫣 👀

Duet narration this time and let me just say… Sean Masters. GAWD DAMNNNNNNNNNNN!!! That man’s voice is velvet whiskey. He can growl without cringe, he can go deep without giving you the ick, and somehow it’s gravel and silk all at once. Alora Daniel matched him perfectly, bringing Zoe’s bratty chaos to life. Their voices were the perfect dichotomy. Together? Unreal. This is 100% a “read it with your ears” situation. TRUST ME ❤️‍🔥
Dom is still my green-flag golden retriever trapped in a Doberman’s body. Loyal, protective, slightly unhinged but in the best way. Zoe annoyed the hell out of me until I realized… yeah, that’s me. Ope. The intrusive thoughts, the tanking self-worth, the whole second-guessing love thing. It hit way harder than I expected and gave me a whole new angle on her. Smutty fun, yes, but also a couple “oh damn” moments that had me tearing up. 🥲
Spice-to-plot ratio? 🌶️
Perfect. 👌🏼
Just enough to keep me sweating, never too much to drown the story. Smut with depth. No pun intended 😏
