Everyone: How do you top Dark Queen? Faith: Watch!

When you have been writing a series for a long time it is easy enough to start being redundant. As a reader that is the last thing that you want to happen. There are some series out there that should just end, however for us Faith Hunter this series is not the case.

I have to admit that I have no idea what I was getting into. The way that Dark Queen ended I thought there was no way anything can top that. Looks like I was wrong.

Jane is dying from cancer and there is nothing her, Molly, or anyone can do. Throughout the entire story I was waiting for someone to save her. In this story everyone seemed to be working at 70%. I am glad that people where not at 100% be it with their emotions or just physically.

I am glad that everyone that mattered to Jane was there supporting her and letting her know that claiming them as family and not actually acting as family is not what she is doing.

There were new characters and old characters. There are also new situations that are happening.

There are a couple of things that popped up within this book that I am intrigued about. I cannot wait until the next book but can wait since Beast has a FB page.

If you want a solid read Faith Hunter is the author to pick up. This book doesn’t disappoint. A serious must read.

Love the story. Some of the characters not so much. Anyway the book is action packed and filled with lots of melancholy. This of course matters very little because Beast is the best hunter. Not surprisingly, we have to wait for the next book to sate our vampy. beastie curiosity to answer the unexplained important details withheld. Get the book! It’s worth it! Looking forward to book ??? Sorry lost count. Shout out to KH whose narration is excellent as usual.

Best series

I have read this series more than once and it is one of the very best paranormal series ever. If you love the Jane Yellowrock universe, continue with Off the Grid and the Soulwood Series. They crossover and are so intriguing. Rick and Soul are in this series but Nell is the new heroine. You’ll just Love her.

Transition Novel

it's obvious that this a a transition novel, written to wrap up any dangling plot threads from the last story arc before launching a new storyline in the next book. The battle with SOD2 was kinda anticlimactic, he gets setup through the whole novel but just doesn't live up to the hype. Still if you been following Jane Yellowrock series this whole time you're obviously going to want to listen to this one. Ms. Hvam delivers an excellent performance as always.

More please!

Hooked on this series and crave more ! I need to see what comes next for the Yellowrock clan!

OMG

This was the best story yet, performance was just perfect. There was one problem that will bug me for a while, that is of course that I want more. So get busy I'm not getting any younger. lol

Faith Hunter delivers another fantastic story!

Faith Hunter never disappoints! Another fantastic Jane Yellowrock story. The characters are described so well that I can lose myself in the story and hate having to stop listening to go in to work. I'm looking forward to the next book. Khristine Hvam does an amazing job with the character's voices that I can picture them in my mind. She is "best ambush hunter"!

A good read.

I had to let this one marinate for a while. It was a good story. You get a good look i to the next stage of life for Jane and her family. Yellow rock Securities is always better when they’re together.

There is however a lot of story that feels over looked or missing though I know Faith does a lot of short stories and this could be something that’s covetable one one. The time that lapses between the end of Dark Queen and Shattered Bonds is a big gap. I get they all have come to see Jane, to make sure she knows she’s family and isn’t allowed to just run away but... it seems (to me) that they’re all walking on egg shells in the beginning. And we really don’t see why that is.

That being said I’m glad we get to see Jane at times back to her badarsed self. There is a lot going on. Not only with her but with the family around her. Danger is on its way, if it’s not already on top of them and they’ve got no choice but to fight and hope they come out on top.

The story once it gets going is intense at times and others it’s a slow burn where you hope something is coming just to see Jame kick butt.

It was a good read, I just had higher hopes I guess. I’ll will sit back and wait to see what else Faith comes up with for these crazy kids. Hopefully we will get to see Jane, the Dark Queen back to her old self soon. Kicking butt and taking names.

Worth the wait

Loved the book. Love Beast. Can’t wait to read book 14. Only bad thing is that book 14 will be the end. Would like to see ongoing series. Will hate to see series end
