My spirit was shattered by the time I was four years old. Beatings and verbal abuse were a normal part of life for me. By the time I understood what death was, there was no doubt in my mind that if Mother could have killed me and gotten away with it she would have done so. But the abuse didn't stop with her, two of my brothers decided that I was their personal sexual plaything. I had no one to turn to, no where to run. This is my story of survival.

Excellent Story but not a fan of AI Reader

I thought the story was excellent and the message it sends at the end is excellent. I did not like the AI reader at all and will not pick up another book that has an AI reader until they fix some of the inflection, intonation, and grammatical issues.

Never againThe

The story was shocking and horrible how this little girl was tortured by someone who should've been her safe place. The AI narration is HORRIBLE, as usual. I'm done with books with AI!!!!

Very well written

The story was very disturbing because of the harsh truths of child sexual abuse. There were so many times that I felt angry toward the abusers and found myself having to put the book down for a day or two.
So many of these types of stories have the same parts to them which makes me wonder if abusers have a playbook they all go by. Absolutely horrendous that children have to go through this. We need to be better protectors for them.

Tragic story

AI voice is awful. Mispronounced so many words and bad pauses. Real reader are definitely preferred.

Heartbreaking

It was hard to listen to but I couldn’t stop at the same time. The story kept going and it felt like it had been years of abuse and then you find out she’s still like 6 years old. I wanted to go back in time and save her over and over again
