Acerca de esta escucha

Dragon captures maiden. Maiden makes dragon's life absolute hell . . .

At the end of a terrible war, a sorcerer casts a curse that destroys every female in the entire race of dragons. In retaliation, Kyreagan, the dragon prince, leads a raid on the sorcerer's kingdom, during which the male dragons snatch human women and carry them off to the dragons' domain.

When Princess Serylla is captured by the Prince of Dragons and taken to his cave, she is furious, terrified, and determined to make his existence so miserable he'll either have to kill her or let her go.

Kyreagan's frustration with his pretty captive is compounded by the fact that his plan—to turn all the human women into female dragons—isn't working. The enchantress he kidnapped isn't powerful enough to work that spell; the most she can do is give the male dragons the ability to shift into human form for a number of hours each day.

As Serylla and the other captured women scheme for their freedom, the dragons struggle to cope with the strangeness of having human bodies for the first time. Neither side realizes that a much greater enemy is watching, waiting to destroy them all.

Contains mature themes.

Dragon turn into gorgeous prince- yes please

I absolutely loved this audiobook!! I have listened to a few books from this author before this one, and have enjoyed all of them. This one is my favorite so far. It is a dragon shifter romance, but the beginning of the story the MMC is an actual dragon. They can talk (think Dragonheart)! Their female dragons are all killed during a battle through magic, so Ky, the Prince Dragon and leader, instructs his dragons to take the females of the enemy. Through a spell, Ky thought the women would be changed into dragons as their purchase is to be baby makers basically bc of the female dragon lost to them. However, the spell actually turns the dragons into (gorgeous- you know the type- strong jaw, nice cheeks bones) men. Though there is chemistry and attraction between the kidnapped princess and dragon prince, they do develop a relationship that develops into mutual respect and eventually feelings for each other. Lots of spice in this one, but not so much the story is lost. It does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, but no fear the conclusion story is already available on audiobook! (And, yes, it is already downloaded.) The narrators did an amazing job.

Unique and Delightfully Odd

This is, first and foremost, an enemies-to-lovers, different species, fantasy, shifters, borderline monster romance.

That means there are themes, topics, and scenes that will make some people unaccustomed to monster romances uncomfortable. Having said that, Rebecca F. Kenney does an excellent job executing them! I do enjoy shifrer and monster romances, but still managed to be (pleasantly) shocked by some scenes.

I've not "read" (listened, lol) another book quite like this one. The story is engaging, with quite a bit of occasionally annoying back and forth between the main characters. In fairness, this isn't one of those annoying miscommunication trope books. While there are misunderstandings, the characters do eventually talk most things out, or come to their senses. The ending conflict is not related to a miscommunication, thankfully. I cannot stand those sorts of endings.

The narrators were good, I can certainly tell rent was due lmao. My only issue with them is that I felt some words and phrases had weird emphasis/pronunciations. It was so few though that it didn't stop me from continuing.

All in all, I do recommend this book. Just be sure to do your own research on the content warnings.

oh my dragon

I love how this book showed that although attraction is a thing. it doesn't magically erase life and issues and the concerns or actions of others.
our FMC maintained full brat spicy mode while our leader anxiety over thinking dragon man challenged her right back.
this audio is amazing and I'm on the edge needing book 2 now

Worst book on audible ive listened to!

Was expecting a great fantasy romance sprinkled with some action and did not at all get what I was hoping for! MC was beyond obnoxious the entire book and the dragon was an overly perverted manchild! Especially the scene where he finds out that she has hidden from him that someone intends to kill his brother and instead of making sure his brother is okay him giving her sexual favors was more important! On top of that the way she lies to him to make him fall for her then when she is away from him she constantly plots his demise and how to get away from him! Bottom line the only reason I finished the book was because I spent money on it!!
