Indispensable

As a an ex-evangelical who still believes in and seeks to follow Jesus, I found this book to be difficult, enlightening, and absolutely essential to my understanding and the path forward.

Beautifully written.

Easy to understand. No need to be a scholar. I no longer fear the Southern Baptist Damnation and Hell Fire! John voice is full of hope and redemption. I speak as a person that grew up in the South. Never understood why I never fit in.... until now.

The difference between Christian and a believer.

Required listening

All so-called “Christian’s” should be required to listen to this book. I bet they would be shocked — shocked, I tell ya — that their belief system stands in stark contrast to Jesus’s teachings.

Rational approach to addressing “christian” hypocrisy

While lacking scholarly credentials, Fugelsang presents a reasoned/rational counter to the bigoted, manipulative (and/or ignorant) use of the Bible to justify the hate espoused by evangelical pseudo christians making so much noise these days.
