Another good one

I seem to always enjoy Andrew Mayne's novels. I wish they were longer. I'm always sad when they end, and look forward to the next one if it's a series.

Lots of Twists to Story

I really love the way the story continued to evolve into something different at every twist. Sloane is back to doing everything without back up. I think she almost gets killed 3 or 4 times in each book. Love the series!!!

Satisfying

Well-narrated story of good guys winning against the big, bad corrupt powerful man who tries to destroy their lives and careers. No twists or turns once the bad guy is identified, but explosions, guns, near-misses and family support. Heroine is above extraordinary, and very lucky.

Don't Read It, LISTEN To The Book

I've been following the Underwater Investigation Unit since Book 1 and I'm still hooked! I love Susannah Jones' narration so much, she truly brings the characters to life for me. I can picture their demeanors and reactions thanks to the narration. I put the book at 1.15x speed and it's perfect. For me, Jones' many different voices and inflections make her one of my favorite narrators. Furthermore, Andrew Maybe is at the top of his game with this thriller.
When a cruise ship suffers a mysterious explosion, it's up to Sloan McPherson and her team to get to the bottom of it all. Unlike the Swamp Killer case of Book 2, this mystery reminds me of the corruption webs Sloan had to untangle in Book 1. The story was easy to follow but full of surprises, suspense, Sloan's sass, and George Salar's dry wit.
And just like with Book 1, there are numerous descriptions of scuba diving and ocean animal behavior which make this series my favorite mystery series to read. I love the ocean, and this book has taught me several interesting things I didn't know about scuba diving and ocean creatures thanks to Sloan's internal dialogue. This all makes sense because author Andrew Mayne is a scuba diver too.

This is a great book! The underwater police unit is very interesting. The story was exciting and interesting. The characters are really good. I hope there is another book in this series. All of them are fascinating.

I like details but this is a long book with a lot of mind wandering time

Long book. Could be cut in half if u took out so many details that were not necessary to keep the reader interested.

Great addition to the series.

I really like this series and the narrator! Sea Storm had less underwater action than the first two in the UIU series, but I still liked how this book unfolded. The plot was pretty thick so it did seem to unfold more slowly, but it was always interesting enough keep listening (and I did gasp outloud a couple times). I wouldn't say it was full of plot twists, but it definitely wasn't predictable, at least not to me. I already pre-ordered Sea Castle, I had no idea a forth book was on the way and am extremely excited for it! Definitely recommend this series!

this was my favorite in the series. this character is getting better and better. enjoyed the ending
