What a surprise!

I absolutely love Gone With the Wind and I have read the follow up novel, Scarlett by Alexandra Ridley, several times. It was a complete surprise to see it pop up on my recommended list! Best of all it is narrated by Linda Stephens who also did GWtW so the voice, flow, and reading style is seamless between the two. Using a credit for this one was a no brainer!

Really enjoyed the addition to a legendary story!

Definitely worth the read/listen! I wish the narrator wouldn’t have “aged” the characters voices, but I do appreciate that it is the Same Narrator!

Great Gone With the Wind Follow-up

Overall, I enjoyed this book with several plot twists. I absolutely loved the ending which was filled with high energy and excitement.

What a perfect sequel!

Thank you for keeping the narrator the same as the audio version of GWTW. Linda Stephens makes these books soooo enjoyable! I felt so lost after the end of GWTW and am so grateful there was a continuation of the story. What a wonderful journey!

Scarlett Delivers

As a sequel to a great book such as GWTW the challenge was great and the jumping bar set too high. But Alexandra Ripley soars above it thrilling us as we watch Scarlett take the world by storm as only she can.
The narrator did the wonderful job as she did in GWTW. She is older but so is Scarlett. Maturing into the woman we all knew she could become with time and experience.
You will not regret listening to this new treasure! Fiddle dee dee! Buy the book.

Beautiful, addicting story

The characters stayed true, but the story was fresh and exciting. It was so nice having the same narrator as the first novel, I can't imagine Scarlett's voice any other way. Pleasantly surprised that even though it is a sequel, it stands very well on its own as a novel. Loved it!

The only complaint I have concerning this book is that I want to know what happened next. There needs to be a book about Rhett and Scarlett living and loving not to mention the life of Kat! Imagine the adventures that would make up her life.......

Better than Gone with the wind

This is beuatiful and by a different author both authors on the first and the sequel did amazing jobs. Oh Rhett!!! I am in love with the story!

Could have been better

Ms Ridley did a phenomenal job following Mitchell. The best that could have been done, I think. But the last bit of the book felt rushed and hurried. As if we got to wallow in the richness of a decadent seven course meal, and were then given crackers and jam for dessert. Nothing wrong with crackers and jam , but I rather wanted baked Alaska.

I love this narrator!

I cannot listen to anyone else read the voice of Scarlett O'hara and not hear her voice. She is so dynamic and leaves me drifting off into another time. Well done!
