Once again, Sophie Lark does not disappoint. Highly recommend this series so far into book 3. Worth the credit!

Nero’s story!!

What a great story for Nero! I always was curious about what kind of woman he would end up with. Nero has been my fav brother because he is a tougher, wild card of a man with little patience for fools.

I loved how this story was weaved together. I really got into Camille’s life and struggles. She has the right idea that family comes first. The interaction between Nero and Camille is formulated on their love of old cars. That is what bonds them and it really just went everywhere else from that point.

I enjoyed all the ups and downs this story took me on. I listened to this on audio. The narration was done well and made listening easy.

Savage Lover by Sophie Lark is a dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Lee Daniels and Michael Gallagher. This is the third book if the Brutal Birthright series and each book can be read as a stand-alone.

I absolutely love Sophie’s books! This series just keeps getting better and better. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Camille and Nero. I can’t wait for the next book in the series Bloody Heart to be released on audio so I can get Simone and Dante’s story.

Lee and Michael did a great job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I can’t wait to listen to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love mafia romance, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

Loved it!

I fell in love with the characters. Their story built up was intriguing from the beginning and until the end. It was entertaining and yes there was hot scenes to complete the story. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story and characters to life. I can honestly recommend this. You won’t be disappointed.

Great series!

Couldn’t resist purchasing the entire series- and I’ve got zero regrets! I have grown to love both families as well as all the strong characters. I love Nero in particular because of his unique personality and style.

Mero and Camille and bloddy perfect together!

I read tgis book as a standalone and although I enjoyed it, I'm definitely going to dive into listening /reading the previous books in the series.

I loved the duet narration of Lee and Michael! They gave the characters their own voices and were amazing

I loved the Darkness that forshadowed the storyline.

Sophie Lark is a new to me author and this definitely isn't going to be my last book from her.

Such an amazing series! I have enjoyed the whole series so far and this book is the perfect addition. These two have their own demons to deal with and yet they are able to find solace in each other and find happiness. I can’t wait to see who comes next!

Excellent Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Intense!

Sophie Lark continues to wow me with another amazing novel in her “Brutal Birthright” series. Each book is a stand-alone and features a family member in the Chicago mafia world. I recommend starting to the series from the beginning because each book as awesome and it is good to know what is going on in the great Mafia world the author created. This book is Nero Gallo and Camille Rivera’s story, we met Nero in earlier books and it is great to find out who he really is as a person in this book. With power struggles over for the moment it is fairly quiet in Chicago’s underground. The Gallo’s are trying to get more businesses on the up and up too, with plans of expanding further in building up areas of Chicago and Nero has plans to gain the capital to fund those plans. Nero is pretty much of a loner, he has his own issues and carries around a lot of angst. He is an adrenaline junkie, he likes to fight because the pain helps him feel. Camille catches his eyes and gets under his skin, the more he sees of her to more he wants to see. Camille was raised by her father when her mother left, her mother also left behind her younger brother Vic and she is a very protective older sister to him. Her father has not been feeling well so she has been doing it all, running the shop and making sure her brother stays up on his schooling and out of trouble. He has a close call with the law but she saves him which puts her in a bad situation. She also starts to see more of Nero and he winds up being an ally and someone she could talk to. I loved these two together and for each other. I admired her for what she did for her brother and father, she was also very intuitive when it came to Nero and refused to back down when she wanted in on what he had planned. A lot goes on in this book and there is never a dull moment, I loved how everything plays out, there is plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt and emotional moments and a great, slow burn romance. Sophie Lark, thank you for another awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to see some of the characters from earlier books again too.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Lee Daniels and Michael Gallagher are talented narrators and voice artists. They were fantastic at portraying the characters, giving each their own voice and humanizing them while projecting their emotions into their performance. They grasped their character’s persona completely, taking the role and making it their own Lee Daniels played Camille’s role with perfection, captured her strength and tenacity. Michale Gallagher played the perfect Nero too, captured his angst and attitude. The were great at covering the roles of the secondary characters as well. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

Wow! I love this series! This is the third book in the Brutal Birthright series. You can read them all as standalone books. This is Niro's book and it is insane! The end of the book has everything I imagined from a Mafia romance. Niro has never let anyone get close enough to get to know him, until Camille. They went to school together, but never really crossed paths. I think Niro and Camille are my new favorite couple. Lee Daniels and Michael Gallagher did a fabulous job narrating these characters! I hope we eventually get Dante's book.
