They called him America’s golden son.
Now he’s the man who’d burn the world for a prince.
When Prince Theodore Rinaldi vanishes, Shepard “Shep” Winchester III will do anything to bring him back.
What starts as a mission of duty ignites into a forbidden obsession—one that blurs every line between loyalty and love.
Back in New York, the Kings are under attack, their secrets exposed, their brotherhood fractured. And when an attempt on Theo’s life plays out in front of flashing cameras, the world sees what they were never meant to: a touch too intimate, a look too raw.
Shep is the son of American power.
Theo is European royalty.
And in a world built on loyalty, betrayal, and lies, love might be the most ruthless act of all.
Ruthless (Park Avenue Kings #5) is the second book in a duet within the Park Avenue Kings series. Merciless (Park Avenue Kings #4) is the first and should be listened to before Ruthless.
Books 1-3 can be listened to as standalone novels.

This book is so perfect. We get the conclusion of the action and then we get to follow them into their very complete HEA. I love when books give me this. I’m leaving them truly confident that they are going to be okay while also being willing to read an entire series of these two alone.
The narrators did a fantastic job on this one too.
A True Fairytale

For how intense everything was, and the fact that we got an entire second book for them, I expected the resolution to hit harder. The main conflict wraps up around the halfway point, and the rest focuses on them settling into the relationship.
And I did like that part. I love seeing what happens after the chaos. I love watching a couple go public, soften, and just exist together. That side of the story was romantic and satisfying.
But with all that buildup, I think I wanted a little more tension toward the end. It felt resolved a bit too smoothly for everything that came before it.
That being said, their banter is top tier. The chemistry is insane. They are scorching together. The romance still delivered. I enjoyed seeing them secure and solid and fully choosing each other.
Did I want a stronger final punch? Yes.
Did I still have a good time? Also yes.
And the way I need Unholy should genuinely be studied.
