Fun Cozy Read

Was excited to see Charlotte MacLeod books in catalog. The Peter Shandy mysteries are a lot of fun and good puzzles to boot. Def. recommend for a fun read any time of the year.

Peter Shanty

This is the first book in this series. I like Peter Shanty's character. I thought he was funny and smart. I'll continue to the next book and see how it goes. John Mclain did a great job narrating this book.

Lovely old fashioned mystery!

A lovely mystery, set in the Midwest in modern—but not TOO modern—times. A little romance, a little partnership, and even a car chase. A very nice escape!

Great from the start

Great Christmas time mystery. Enjoyable characters. Great detective that is smart and likeable. Just what I like for a mystery.

Really enjoyed this story

The narrator was good. Some places could have been better, i started wondering if it was Ai generated, but the different voices came out well and I found I adjusted to the old rhythm.

It’s a good story and a nice mystery, although a little dated which wasn’t a problem for me because I am a little dated too. But some listeners may find it few things to be anachronistic. It’s just the way it was. . Enjoy this peek into that world.
