Sweet Boxset

Sweet boxset of novels that you will never get tired of listening to. I enjoyed listening to this set.

Steamy but not too lurid

I listened to these on a long car ride, it kept me awake and was short and sweet

Lost women, Men even more lost.

Ravishing Regencies, Book 1-3 by Emily Murdoch are the first three books in a boxed set, all somewhat related but no actual carry over in characters. They are amusing little ditties all about unlikely and inappropriate love matches, brought on by circumstances. They were fun and enticing: Lost with a Lord, Drenched with a Duke, and Shipwrecked with a Suitor. All lovely women who have somewhat lost their way and lonely men, looking for someone to love.

Verity Burns is the narrator and does quite a lovely job with all of the characters. In Lost with a Lord, the woman is Italian and there is no accent, although the Italian words used are pronounced well, with no strain. Burns lends an air of nobility to the reading of the books, which I found most refreshing.

I was invited to listen to Ravishing Regencies on Audible by the author. All thoughts and opinions are mine.

Loved these stories!

#1. Lost with a Lord
Miss Florence and Lord George are both lost at the docks one night when there’s a mob going on. They seek and find shelter, as well as their perfect match.
Lovely story!

#2. Drenched with a Duke
I love these stories! This one is about Alexander and Teresa, the love between a Duke and a courtesan.

#3. Shipwrecked with a Suitor
This third Ravishing Regencies story is my favourite. I loved Helena (sister of Teresa) and Pierre (shipwrecked while fleeing from France). Sweet and sexy with a HEA.

I really liked the narrator (Verity Burns). She did a great job!
