Wow

A must read for Christians and non Christians alike. Very direct and challenging. This book has made me reconsider if I was even a true Christian and helped me confirm that I do want to be a better Christian. It clearly lays out what God demands of his true disciples and what the cost is for following Christ. Can't recommend this enough.

A Must-Read for Every American Christian

Definitely one of the best, biblical, soul-searching books I've read in a long time. This one is highly recommended for all Christians in the United States. David Platt helps you to see beyond the things that have become a regular part of your life (including your "church life"), and challenges you to take that "radical" step to living the life in Christ you were chosen for. I think that it's even better that David himself does the narration for his book. I'm definitely reading this one again!

Challenging and thought provoking. David Platt has great insight and uses piercing arguments to reveal the issues with the Americanized version of Christianity.

You may or may not agree with his arguments but it is worth considering.

Convicting and Inspiring

This book, above all else, inspires self examination. even if you don't agree with him on everything, His main point still stands...Christ calls us to extraordinary service, and letting our culture distort our view of Him is not a good thing. Great book with a solid message.

Time to get real with your faith..No fakes here !

If you have a hot passion for following Christ this is the book to listen to. Get ready to check yourself ! Its a painful look in the mirror for this man. As I do not see the image of Christ looking back at me . However with the truths of the scripture being explained in a very easy to understand way as this Author has done I can take my first step on that narrow path. Thank you to this Author I was sinking and you just threw me a lifesaver! Its so refreshing to listen to the truth of his word being explained in an easy to follow fashion. Thank you for not allowing political correctness of this me , me , its all about me world and for not making God an ATM wish granter in the sky in your book.
