I got engaged 7 months ago & I'm getting married this month... It's amazing what I thought marriage was 7 months ago. And why I thought we were getting married.
Although my parents & my fiancée parents have amazing marriages, I was fearful of marriage & mostly fearful of conflict & divorce! Our culture hates marriage & tears it down in media-- and reading this book gave me a whole new view on divorce and...the meaning of marriage, of course. This book is amazing for those who've been married for years too, but I wanted to write a review for the engaged. Those of you who haven't even begun this race, like me, this is an amazing start. Along with Sacred Marriage by Gary Thomas & This Momentary Marriage by John Piper. These books will give a really clear picture of what God designed marriage to be, without any mystery. I'm thankful to be starting our marriage with wisdom and understanding thanks to The Meaning Of Marriage.

THE BEST GUIDE TO A BIBLICAL MARRIAGE......

Can be found in this well written - scripturally based volume! With 62 years and a plethora of books on marriage behind me - I can say hands down - you will find no better, no more accurate a book than this wonderful compilation.

As an additional treat - the books’ narration is excellent!

Refreshing and eye opening!

I totally recommend this book to both married couples and singles. It sets up such a great foundation and reminds us of what marriage really means - not just what we made it into as a culture!

Must have and spread

This has been probably the best book on marriage I have read. Mr. Kellers insight and wisdom makes the book enjoyable and probably will listen to it multiple times just in case I missed anything.

insightful, practical, meaningful and wonderful!

tim demonstrates how some ideas of love are shallow and what deep love can be hard but worth it. A realistic book on marriage for our times!

One of the best

Gets 5 stars bc this is a great contemporary approach to godly marriage. It will challenge already established marriages looking for growth, and it will help greatly newly married couples looking to build on a solid marriage foundation.

What made the experience of listening to The Meaning of Marriage the most enjoyable?

The most memorable parts of the book were the personal stories. The marriage advice was okay, but getting to know the Kellers was best.

What other book might you compare The Meaning of Marriage to and why?

If you compare this book to Tim Keller's other books, this one is good by any standard except the one Tim Keller sets. This is a good book, but one of his weakest.

What about Lloyd James and Marguerite Gavin ???s performance did you like?

The readers did an excellent job.

Incredible book on marriage

This is a must read for single, engaged, and marriage people. Fantastic resource for understanding what marriage should be, and how it was designed to work.

I'd give this 10 Stars if possible

This is an absolutely fantastic book about marriage. If every person read it before dating, while dating, when considering getting married, and after getting married, there would be many more long-term, fulfilling marriages.
